Person of Interest is filming on Hudson St, between King St and W Houston St, in NYC on Monday, Feb. 9.

The series, which has been filming in New York since 2011, follows former CIA agent Reese, played by Jim Caviezel, and billionaire software genius Finch, portrayed by Michael Emerson, as they join forces to find individuals who will soon be involved in violent crimes.

Today, Feb. 6, Billions is filming around 8th Ave and Berkeley Place in Brooklyn.

Billions, “take a look at the world of high finance by following two competing men at the top of their respective worlds.” One is a hard charging U.S. District Attorney played by Paul Giamatti and the other is an ambitious hedge fund king played by Damian Lewis. Malin Akerman also stars in the Showtime pilot.

After months of speculation about Marvel’s upcoming Netflix series AKA Jessica Jones, the show will finally begin filming this week in New York City.

AKA Jessica Jones will focus on the Marvel character who, “after a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.”

We often get asked, “How can I be an extra on Law and Order: SVU?” Unfortunately, it isn’t easy.

Becoming an extra on any New York City-shot series can be difficult. Most NYC casting companies have an established pool of talent they use for their projects, including Central Casting, the company that handles extras for SVU, Blue Bloods, and other New York City TV shows and movies.

Just because it might be tough to land one of these gigs as an extra, doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Central Casting recently posted new instructions for those interested in working with them.

For instance, Central is looking for skateboarders for an SVU scene shooting at a skate park on Jan. 26. But, to apply for this job, or any job Central Casting advertises, you must first be registered with the company.

Penn Badgley is back in NYC for ‘The Slap’

According to Deadline, Gossip Girl star Penn Badgley will have a recurring role in NBC’s The Slap.

The 8-episode miniseries, based on a 2011 Australia drama, stars Peter Sarsgaard and Mary Louise-Parker. In the original series, a family is torn apart after a man slaps another couple’s misbehaving child. As feelings about the incident escalate, long-held secrets are exposed, resulting in a lawsuit.
