SVU and TDTESS Tidbits

Thanks to Leslie who sent us these pictures of her and Chris Meloni on the set of SVU, December 16th. She reported he was very kind and gracious! She also gave us a tip for the Rescue Me fans: They film on (14th b/t 6th and 7th) ALL the time. She asked some crew why and they said there is an apartment nearby that they use for interior shots. Great tip and pics, thanks Leslie!

Fringe is filming at Laguardia. (Thanks to our anonymous tipster who also heard holding/base camp would be at the Crown Plaza near the airport.)

Without A Trace is filming at 1333 Willow St, 590 S. Santa Fe Ave; and the 6th St Bridge from Boyle Ave to Mateo St, L.A.

Men Who Stare at Goats is filming at Suncal Dunes in N.M. (Thanks Callie!)

The Seven Pounds (L.A.) Premiere is tonight at Mann’s Village Theater, arrivals begin around 5 PM.

FYI: Some film or TV is on set outside at the Swan Club, Glenwood Landing, NY right near the village of Roslyn. Looks like base camp is there. (Thanks Elise!)

Today, in Boston, the props company that worked on Edge of Darkness is having a liquidation sale, which will include props from the movie.

Cate Blanchett is receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (Hollywood Boulevard, east of Highland) today at 11:30 A.M. (Thanks Cia)

Grey’s Anatomy is filming at 1855 Industrial St and 1380 E. 6th St, Los Angeles. (after 4 PM)

It’s a busy day for 24 in L.A. today, here are the details:
They are filming on lower Grand Ave from 4th St - GTK Way, 4th St from Olive- Beaudry Ave, and W. 3rd St & Flower St, these scenes will include a helicopter landing, take off, and hovering between 7-10 P.M. Driving scenes. This scene will also include emergency vehicles with lights flashing, driving scenes, near hit and misses, and stunt drivers.
Also filming at 1201 S. Figueroa St, this scene will include interior automatic full load gunfire, simulated bullet effects on body and things, sparks, fire bars, smoke, weapons brandished, emergency vehicles with lights flashing, driving scenes, near hit and misses, stunt driving, car on fire, and breaking glass. (They will be at this location on Monday and Tuesday also)

We got two different locations for Ugly Betty today. First, we heard they will be at Madison Square Park again today (and through the weekend). (Thanks Susing) And we heard they will be filming in Brooklyn on Union Street and 7th Ave. (Thanks Larry!)

America’s Next Top Model is shooting in a brownstone on 61st Street between Second and Third Avenues in NYC–the Pink Burberry-inspired Navigator Limo has been parked outside of the building since Saturday. (Thanks Rachel!)

Love and Other Impossible Pursuits is filming somewhere around Claremont Ave and Lafayette Ave in Brooklyn.

Law and Order: SVU is filming near W 135th @ 12th in NYC. UPDATE: Here is the exact address of the location: Cleantex Process Co Inc, 2335 12th Ave, New York, NY 10027, they are shooting indoors and there are no trailers for principals on 12th Ave, not sure about side streets though. Law and Order is filming around W79th and Riverside Dr.

Law and Order: CI is filming at Prime Night Club.

We got a tip that The Curious Case of Benjamin Button premiere is tonight (I think L.A.) but I’m not sure where, anyone have any details? We know that the NOLA premiere was last night.

SVU Set Photos

One of our readers, Cassandra, met Mariska Hargitay on the set of Law and Order: SVU Monday. Check out her recap and pictures below. Thanks to Cassandra!

“I arrived on location around 1:00 pm and they were packing up. After a trip to Starbucks, I was going to head back home until a guy say “Look Mariska Hargitay” and I turned and she was right in front of me. I said “Hi” and she said “hi” back so i was going to say something when she said, “they just called me on set follow me and she was pulling on my sweatshirt to follow her.. I walked down the street with her (75th street between central park west and columbus) and talked to her about somethings and then she’s like wait here I gotta go on set for a set I’ll be right back”. She came back out on her phone and went to make up. A half an hour later her hubby Peter came by and left. I got a picture with Mariska then she had to go because she kept asking a set guy (nice guy btw) how much time does she have and he responded 5 minutes. Mariska’s security guard was like what do you want to do and she said I wanna go home for a bit. So she walked around the corner and walked home.”
