Many of you, like me, have probably been searching through Google Trends this week. After all, what we searched for in 2014 does say a lot about us, for better or worse.
Just for the hell of it, I started typing in some of OLV’s most common tags and searches, and when I tried the terms “filming in NYC”,“NYC filming”, and “filming NYC”, I noticed a spike in searches in June 2009 and immediately knew why – Robert Pattinson was in town.
In June 2009, Pattinson was filming Remember Me in New York City. It’s hard to believe one person could have an influence on a search term as benign as “filming NYC”, but he did. Twilight had hit theaters a few months earlier and RPattz mania was at an all time high. The fan frenzy around the Remember Me shoot was like nothing I’d ever seen and, some news outlets claimed, it even caused Rob to be hit by a cab.
Below are filming locations in Los Angeles and New York City for Wednesday, 3.17.10. For more information, be sure to check out the Upcoming Filming Locations and Events Calendar in the sidebar which is updated daily.
Step Up 3D is filming at 290 S Garey St, 6:00 A.M. – 10:00 P.M.
Bones is filming at 1360 E 6th St all day (in a studio/stage).
Cold Case is filming at S Pacific Ave & W 12th St – S Pacific Ave & W 11th St, 7:00 A.M. – 4:00 A.M.
After wrapping Bel Ami in Europe, Robert Pattinson is scheduled to begin filming Water For Elephants, along with Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz and now, it looks like we may finally have a start date for the project.
According to Acting-Auditions.org, “casting for supporting roles is now underway and filming is set to begin May 22, 2010 in Los Angeles.” They also list Denise Chamian as the Principal Actor Casting Director, you can find her contact information here. It is unknown who will be handling extras casting. [click to continue…]
Kerry sent us a few more photos of Robert Pattinson from the last week’s premiere of Remember Me in NYC. Rob shot Remember Me in NYC last summer and recently said, “It ended up being like more of a circus than I thought it was going to be. At the beginning, it was terrible. Then, about halfway through, I just suddenly had an epiphany about it. I don’t know what happened, but I know it’s just fine. I guess it’s just learning how to sort of block things out. It’s like you’ve just got to be more disciplined about it.”
Currently he’s in London filming Bel Ami where things are much quieter for the star. You can check out pics of Rob walking to set in his costume over at Pop Sugar.
In a last bit of RPattz news, a new trailer for Eclipse will be released tomorrow but in the meantime, they’ve given us a teaser (or a kind of trailer for the trailer), you can check it out above and see all of Kerry’s photos below!
One of our readers, Jackie, checked out the Today Show yesterday and the premiere of Remember Me at the Paris Theatre. Here’s her full report:
On Monday my friend Ashley and I went to NY to try to see Robert Pattinson. We went to The Today Show at 12 a.m. when we got in line there were maybe 7 people in front of us. Everybody was really nice and we all got along great and had a good night bonding over Rob.
A lot of us recognized each other from OLV and had a great time talking about that! As the night went on more and more people came but it wasn’t until about 4 or 5 that a lot of people really started to come. There was a big turnout for Rob but I was surprised it wasn’t worse. At 6:30 a.m. we got let in to where they film outside. Rob came out twice and seemed to be really nice. He signed a lot of things and took a lot of pictures with people. My friend and I ended up talking to Stephanie who works with Rob and she was really nice. She was trying to get him to come our way but at that point all the fans near him were going crazy and it was kind of hard for her to get his attention.
