One of our readers, Christina, checked out the set of One Tree Hill on their last day of filming for the season (maybe forever) in Park City, UT. Here’s what Christina had to say about meeting the cast and a few of her photos:
This past Friday I was in Park City, Utah and the cast of One Tree Hill was filming there and I only knew this information thanks to OLV! I love One Tree Hill and I have watched every season. I am praying it gets picked up for season 8. After waiting about 3 hours outside in the snow I was able to get my picture with some of the cast. The cast members were so nice and very friendly. They took several pictures and chatted with their fans for a while. The only 2 cast members that were outside watching their fans (including me) in the cold and would not come over while all their other cast mates made the time were Sophia Bush (Brooke) and Austin Nichols (Julian). Sophia Bush (Brooke) is my favorite and I actually called her over 3 times and she kept telling me “I will come over in a minute” but she never did. They were already done filming on Friday and she was standing outside but would not come over. I was so disappointed because I just adore her on the show. Anyways, I got to meet most of the cast and wanted to share with you. Overall, it was a great experience.
The cast and crew of One Tree Hill are currently shooting an episode in Park City, UT. Locations are expected to include exteriors on Main Street and the Egyptian Theatre (on Main Street).
The story line for the episode centers on a character in the show having a film in a film festival. (This must mean Julian got his movie into Sundance?)

Tree Hill seems to be the location where musicians are made and careers are launched. Peyton Sawyer started the record company, Red Bedroom Records, that launched the careers of Haley James Scott and Mia Catalano. However, Mia Catalano is played by musician Kate Voegele, who had a serious boost in popularity since her first appearance on the show back in 2008.
Who’s the next big thing in Tree Hill? None other than Grubbs, the bartender of TRIC who’s always ready with the perfect elixir. Of course this role is very familiar for him as he has previously bar tended at Schiller’s Liquor Bar in NYC. Recently, this character’s storyline is about to get a major boost after tonight’s performance. The character Grubbs is played by musician Michael Grubbs, lead singer and songwriter of the Brooklyn indie rock band Wakey!Wakey!
Grubb’s involvement on OTH was really a chance of fate. OTH creator Mark Schwahn was impressed with Michael Grubbs, who he found at an open mic night at Park Slope’s Bar 4.
“It’s really interesting, man. I didn’t really know what I was stepping into on ‘One Tree Hill,’ ” Grubbs said with a laugh during a phone interview with SatrNewOnline.com. “I had no idea. And it turns out that it’s got this amazing, supportive fan base that’s just rabid for the music on the show.”
If you are near Wilmington and want to be an extra on “One Tree Hill” then listen up.
Fincannon & Associates is accepting applications for background actors, or extras, for an episode of “One Tree Hill” to be filmed Nov. 10 and 11. There will be several larger scenes coming up and the company is looking for fresh faces.

Salt, starring Angelina Jolie, is filming at St. Bart’s (5oth and Park, NYC) again Saturday, 3/21. FYI:Salt is filming in studio today (Friday) and Angie will not be on set (thanks Lily and Anon!). We heard at one point the studio was going to be the former Grumman Aerospace Factory in Long Island but we’re not positive that is where they are filming today.
