EW is reporting Life on Mars has been cancelled by ABC. The show is filmed throughout NYC and has been a favorite on our site since it began filming last year.
Michael Ausiello claims, “the network recently advised the show’s producers that it would not be ordering a second season. The heads-up will allow them to make this year’s season finale a series finale, thus leaving no questions unanswered.”
First Fringe, now Life on Mars, filming in NYC is beginning to look grim.

As we reported in our last post, Transformers 2 is filming on the Princeton University campus. The Transformers 2 Unofficial Blog has pictures from the shoot last week at the Eastern State Penitentiary in PA. On a side note, Eastern State Penitentiary creates a haunted house (Terror Behind the Walls) in the prison every Fall which is a blast, we highly recommend making the trip if you can!
Ashecliffe is filming near Hull High School in Hull, MA. Here’s a wrap up of the shoot so far.
My One and Only is filming in Lutherville, Baltimore MD. (Thanks for the tip) Kevin Bacon is heading to Baltimore to join the cast, feels like deja vu.
Law and Order: CI is rumored to be at the same location in the Bronx, around Riverdale and 263rd. (We didn’t get this tip until late last night.)
Rescue Me is filming near Church and Chambers Streets in NYC. (Thanks again to Howard)
Also, we received an email that Lipstick Jungle did start filming today but they are filming in studio.

When in Rome is still filming near City Hall. As far as we know,this is a night shoot.
Motherhood is filming on Hudson and Christopher. (A couple of our readers met Uma at this location yesterday, check it out on Tiffany’s blog.)

This looks fun, Wabasha, Minnesota hosts a Grumpy Old Men Festival each February in the same locations where the movie was shot. It’s not too early to start planning your travels for next year.
UPDATE @ 5 PM FYI: We just received the following tip in a comment from LJ: “The Taking of Pelham 123 is filming in Brooklyn on McDonald Ave starting from Ave C & going toward Greenwood Cemetary which is the crew parking”. Thanks LJ!!!
