It looks like Iron Man 3 will continue filming in Wilmington, N.C. through at least September 7, maybe longer, before moving to Miami where they will finish out the shoot.

New permits for Caged (the movie’s working title) were issued for filming from Monday August 13, 2012 – Friday September 7, 2012, 6:00 pm to 7:00 am, at Port of Wilmington, 1 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, N.C.

The shipyard scenes will include 3 main cast members and 10 extras.

While some are speculating whether or not Hollywood should, or will, boycott filming in North Carolina after the state passed a ban on gay marriage, so far, the state’s film industry is still booming.

According to WECT another big budget project is headed to the state. Safe Haven, based on Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name, is expected to begin filming in Southport, NC later this month.

Though there are few details about the shoot, locals are reporting the production company has opened an office in town and has approached some Southport businesses about their “vision for the film.”

It seems like we’ve heard about a different Owen Wilson sighting every day since the actor arrived in Winston-Salem, N.C. last week to begin filming the comedy You Are Here.

Over the weekend Owen was seen dining out in downtown Winston-Salem and yesterday he was spotted again, but this time he made it clear he didn’t want to be bothered.

Owen Wilson might not have started filming You Are Here in Winston-Salem, N.C. until today, but he’s already found a few favorite restaurants around town.

On Friday night Owen and his co-stars Zach Galifianakis and Amy Poehler were all spotted having dinner together at Sixth and Vine on Sixth St in Winston-Salem. According to one of our readers, Carlos, the threesome had a relaxing meal at one of the restaurant’s outside tables.

The Warren Files, formerly known as The Conjuring, will begin filming in Wilmington, North Carolina this week.

The movie, which is being directed by James Wan, will primarily be filmed at the EUE/Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington.

The story was inspired by paranormal events which took place in a Rhode Island farmhouse. The events were investigated by Ed and Loraine Warren who helped the home’s owners, the Perron family, battle the spirits. The production is reportedly building a replica of the house on their sound stages.

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will play the Warrens, while the Perrons will be portrayed by Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor.

According to Deadline, Alan Ball (creator/executive producer of True Blood and Six Feet Under) is getting another series, this time on Cinemax. The network has has given a 10-episode order to Banshee, an action drama about “an ex-convict and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee, PA, where he continues his criminal activities even as he’s being hunted by the shadowy gangsters he had betrayed years earlier.”

Banshee will start shooting this spring in and around Charlotte, North Carolina, where Showtime’s Homeland is also filmed.

It was also announced this week that HBO’s Eastbound & Down will film one more time in Wilmington, NC next month.

Though The Hunger Games was originally expected to wrap up filming in Shleby, NC yesterday, various Twitter reports have confirmed filming will continue through the end of the week, leaving fans wondering where the next location for the movie will be.
