Richard Gere

Richard Gere has started filming Oppenheimer Strategies, an independent film written and directed by Joseph Cedar, in New York City.

The movie follows “a small-time operator named Norman Oppenheimer who befriends a young politician at a low and lonely moment in his life. Three years later when that politician becomes an influential world leader, Norman’s life dramatically changes. For better. And for worse.”

Louder than Bombs, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Gabriel Byrne, and Isabelle Huppert, has started filming in NYC.

The movie, which was spotted setting up at 215th Place and Northern Blvd in Bayside, NY yesterday, is a follow-up to Joachim Trier’s Oslo, August 31st. It almost never made it into production until the Franco-German TV network Arte decided to back the project under their cinematic branch, Arte France Cinema.

Principal photography on The Adderall Diaries is well underway in NYC.

Robert Redford serves as executive producer and Pamela Romanowsky is directing the film about a young man “navigating the unstable terrain of truth and identity.”

James Franco acquired the rights to the project and stars in it with Ed Harris, Amber Heard, Christian Slater, Cynthia Nixon and Jim Parrack.

Julianne Moore, Kristen Stewart, Kate Bosworth, and Alec Baldwin are set to begin filming Still Alice, an adaptation of Lisa Genova’s novel, in New York City.

The book is a best seller – about a cognitive psychologist who faces the early onset of Alzheimer’s disease – that has been translated into more than 25 languages.

Today, the highly anticipated follow up to Sharknado, Sharknado 2: The Second One, begins filming in NYC.

In addition to returning stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, Vivica A. Fox, Mark McGrath, Kelly Osbourne, Andy Dick, Judah Friedlander, and Judd Hirsch have also signed on for the Syfy movie.
