On Monday, April 20, New Line’s How To Be Single begins filming in NYC. According to permits, filming will take place around 17th st and 10th Ave in New York City on Monday.

The feature film stars Dakota Johnson, Rebel Wilson, Alison Brie, Dan Stevens and Leslie Man and will suggest “it is not our relationships, but our single times in between, that truly define us. The film will give an honest portrayal of both the female and male views of singlehood. Additionally, the film will look at relateable issues such as; online dating, the debate about how long to wait before having children, when to get married, blind dating, casual sex and the fear of commitment.”

According to the latest filming permits, Money Monster will be filming on Maiden Lane and Nassau St in Manhattan on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19.

The Jodie Foster-directed movie stars George Clooney as the host of a live stock investment TV show who makes a bad call on a hot stock, causing a disgruntled investor to storm his studio with a gun and threaten to kill him if the stock price doesn’t bounce back. Julia Roberts, Jack O’Connell Giancarlo Esposito and Dominic West also star.

Emma Roberts and Dave Franco will soon be filming a new thriller on the streets of New York City.

The movie, Nerve, which follows “a high school senior who finds herself immersed in an online game of truth of dare, where her every move starts to become manipulated by an anonymous community of “watchers”, is set to begin shooting in the city on April 13.

Several new casting calls reveal the movie will be filming on location, mostly at night, in various locations around Manhattan, including St. Mark’s Place.

Richard Gere

Richard Gere has started filming Oppenheimer Strategies, an independent film written and directed by Joseph Cedar, in New York City.

The movie follows “a small-time operator named Norman Oppenheimer who befriends a young politician at a low and lonely moment in his life. Three years later when that politician becomes an influential world leader, Norman’s life dramatically changes. For better. And for worse.”

Louder than Bombs, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Gabriel Byrne, and Isabelle Huppert, has started filming in NYC.

The movie, which was spotted setting up at 215th Place and Northern Blvd in Bayside, NY yesterday, is a follow-up to Joachim Trier’s Oslo, August 31st. It almost never made it into production until the Franco-German TV network Arte decided to back the project under their cinematic branch, Arte France Cinema.
