How did we miss this?!
Yesterday, Katy Perry, Matt Damon, Andy Samberg and Val Kilmer were spotted filming a digital short for SNL in the West Village.
Perry is hosting tonight’s episode of Saturday Night Live with musical guest Robyn. She recently said she’s getting a lot of help from her husband, Russell Brand, while prepping for her first time hosting the show.

Back on June 6, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg hosted the 6th Annual Made in NY Awards at Gracie Mansion.
Each year, individuals and organizations that have made a significant contribution to New York City’s entertainment industry are honored at the event. During the ceremony Bloomberg said, “There is no entertainment like the entertainment made in New York.”
This year, the late director Sidney Lumet was presented with the first-ever Made in NY Mayor’s Award for Lifetime Achievement. Other 2011 Made in NY honorees included Matt Damon, Foursquare, John Leguizamo, founder of the Urbanworld Film Festival & CEO of MoviePass Stacy Spikes, commercial production company Smuggler, and NBC chairman Lauren Zalaznick.

Matt Damon and Jodie Foster have signed on to co-star in Elysium, which will be shot entirely in Vancouver this summer.
Though little is known about the film, it will take place 100 years in the future and will feature Foster as the head of an alien planet.
Damon has been keeping busy this year. He has already shot Contagion in Chicago and We Bought A Zoo, which was filmed around Los Angeles.

On of our readers, Dave, sent us a couple of videos he took of Matt Damon in Los Angeles, where he is currently filming We Bought A Zoo.
In the first video, a fan asks Matt if he plans to work with [Ben Affleck] again and he replies, “we’re always looking for stuff to do together.” When asked if he was going to direct (a project with Ben), Matt replies, “Well [Ben] said that in an interview and its been…no, there’s no script for that one yet.”

One of our readers, JC, was at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City tonight for the The Adjustment Bureau Premiere’s Red Carpet Arrivals where waiting fans were lucky enough to meet Matt Damon!
Here’s JC’s full report:
I went and waited for the stars of the movie to arrive at the premiere tonight. They had it set up where the SUV/cars are pulling up very close to the tent. I thought the wait would not be successful in getting any stars to come by across the street where fans were waiting. I got there about 6:30 p.m. and was surprised there weren’t that many people waiting at all. My first premiere was for The Tourist and boy, that was a mad crowd and tons of paparazzi. This one, no paps and only a handful of professional autograph hounds.
