During 2010 several Hollywood actors could be seen in multiple projects, however none stared in more movies than Liam Neeson who can take home the prize of Hollywood’s hardest working actors. Neeson has always been a busy actor, however after the tragic death of actress wife Natasha Richardson, who died during a skiing accident in Canada, Neeson has been working more than ever.

According to MovieInsider, Neeson “has been unveiled as the most prolific actor in 2010 with an impressive seven roles to his credit”, beating stars such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Angelina Jolie, Jeff Bridges and Brad Pitt.

Previously we reported that Steven Spielberg had met with Virginia film officials, now he has officially announced that he will start working on his long awaited biopic on Abraham Lincoln within the next year. According to rumors, the movie is to be based on “best-selling 2005 book ‘Team of Rivals’ by Doris Kearns Goodwin,” those who are familiar with the book will know that the story addresses the start of Lincoln’s political career as well as the power struggles with his cabinet.

The announcement comes nine years after Spielberg first expressed interest in development of the biopic and five years after asking Liam Neeson to play the president. Neeson however has denied being involved in the project, earlier this year he said “I’m not playing Lincoln now. I was attached to it for a while, but now I’m past my sell-by date.”

With the Hollywood movie “Everybody Loves Whaleswrapping up in Alaska within the next few weeks, state economic officials are wondering what the next big Alaska movie project will be.

Whatever the plot or size, one thing is sure: movies filmed in Alaska bring money to the state, which is why state officials are hoping their tax incentive will convince Hollywood to take an extra look, before shooting elsewhere.

The Grey,” a survival thriller starring Liam Neeson, set in Alaska and planned for a 2012 release, has been scouting different locations in Alaska, however the production has also been looking around Vancouver, which could end up adding this to the long list of movies set in Alaska but filmed out of state.

The State Commerce Department officials say that they still haven’t heard from the filmmakers, however that the company has expressed concerns about the lack of winter sunlight. Another bad sign is the fact that a production office for the film was operating this week in Vancouver, British Columbia.

A new thriller, Unknown White Male, recently began filming on location in Germany. The movie is being directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and stars Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger, January Jones, Aidan Quinn, Bruno Ganz, and Frank Langella.

In the film, Liam Neeson plays Dr. Martin Harris, who awakens after a car accident in Berlin to discover that his wife (January Jones) suddenly doesn’t recognize him and another man (Aidan Quinn) has assumed his identity. Ignored by disbelieving authorities and hunted by mysterious assassins, he finds himself alone, tired, and on the run. Aided by an unlikely ally (Diane Kruger), Martin plunges headlong into a deadly mystery that will force him to question his sanity, his identity, and just how far he’s willing to go to uncover the truth.

Much of the filming will be done in Germany’s Studio Babelsberg, the oldest large-scale studio complex in the world.
