Filming News Wrap Up: A Shooting on the Set of Just Wright, RDJ Filming Sherlock Holmes Reshoots in London and More!

There was a shooting on the set of Just Wright last week in Queens and it wasn’t part of the script. Workers dressing an area outside of a Chelsea housing project say the victim got out of a car and began arguing with two men when someone started shooting. The victim was shot in the abdomen and leg but is in stable condition. Luckily, no one working on the film was injured.

Museyon Guides recently launched a cool new anthology of Travel Guide Books, Film + Travel: Traveling the World Through Your Favorite Movies. The three titles in the series (so far) are Film + Travel Europe, Film + Travel North America, and Film + Travel Asia, Oceania, Africa. The books are sure to provide plenty of  inspiration for the perfect on location vacation!

Brad Pitt may not be joining them, but the cast of Sherlock Holmes has reunited in London to reshoot several key scenes. Does this mean they may be back in NYC soon for reshoots in the Brooklyn studio they called home last spring?

TNT has extended Leverage’s season which means they are still looking for extras in Portland.

Filming Locations and Events For June 11th

Any location information that I feel is relatively accurate (because I have seen the info on other sites or have received tips from multiple sources) I have put a :) next to it as a way to rate the accuracy of each tip. I’ll try this for a few days. If you follow a tip and find it is incorrect, please let us know in a comment. Thanks!

Valediction is filming in the Boston Public Garden area, Boston MA tonight. :)

Salt is filming at the Dar Constitution Hall in DC.

Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia is filming in Philly between 10th and 11th on Carpenter and Carpenter to Christian. (Thanks Kelly!) UPDATE: Filming at Dave and Busters this afternoon. Tomorrow they will be filming at a house near Fourth and Porter Streets and outside the Holiday Inn at 10th Street and Packer Avenue in South Philly. (Thanks Kelly!) :)

Blue Valentine, starring Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling, is filming at the Park Street Complex, Honesdale, PA.

Home Depot (may be a commercial though there is a rumor it is a code name for a “secret” movie shoot) is filming at 835 San Rafael Av S, Pasadena, CA. Anyone have any info on the shoot? :)

Date Night is filming on W Broadway and Prince, NYC, this is a night shoot. Thanks Rachel and Anon!) (If someone goes down there, please confirm this is the Date Night starring Tina Fey. One anonymous tipster thought this might be a different project with the same name but I haven’t seen any other indication that is the case, thanks!) UPDATE: Signs spotted on W. A Little Help is filming on Glen Cove Ave near Horace Pl, Sea Cliff, NY. Update: Filming right now (noon) at in Glen Head, NY at a gas station. The scene is her in a little red Jetta getting gas. (Thanks Paige!) :)

Filming News Wrap-Up: New Moon Moves to Montepulciano, Jessica Alba Filming in Ok and More!

robThe Twilight sequel, New Moon, has been filming in Vancouver since March but the production is on the move. Robert Pattinson has already wrapped his scenes and is currently at the Cannes Film Festival. Kristen Stewart continues filming in Vancouver but will finish up this week. On May 25th the movie will begin a five day shoot in Montepulciano, Italy.

Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba, Casey Affleck and Simon Baker are in Guthrie, Oklahoma filming a new movie, The Killer Inside Me. Producer Andrew Eaton said cast and crew will spend about three weeks shooting in Guthrie before moving on to other locations in Cordell, Enid, Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

This summer, residents of Marblehead, MA were hoping Zac Efron would be in town filming The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud, since the movie is set in the coastal town but due to economic constraints, the movie will actually be filmed in Vancouver.

Lots of photos are surfacing from the set of Adam Sandler’s Grown Ups, filming in Southborough, MA all week. Hub On Location, Southborough News and My Southboroughall have photos and information from the shoot which will be in town through May 26th.

Stone starring Robert DeNiro, Milla Jovovich and Edward Norton began filming in Michigan this week. The movie is about a a convicted arsonist who is desperate for parole so he asks his wife to engage in an affair with his parole officer.

George Clooney wrapped Up In The Air (which was filming in Michigan, St Louis and Miami) last week and is now back in L.A. preparing for A Very Private Gentleman which will be shot in Italy this summer. Another A-Lister, Katie Holmes, is also getting ready for some international travel. Holmes will film Don’t Be Afraid of the Darkin Australia next month.
