According to rumors, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes just purchased a new home in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York. The price is a whooping $15 million! The house 8,100 square feet and supposedly located at 42 West 12th Street. One may wonder if there is a specific reason for the couple to be house hunting in The Big Apple. Could this mean that Katie is heading back to Broadway again?

We’ve received several emails this week asking where exactly The Romantics is filming in North Fork, Long Island. We’ve even gotten a few asking where that Starbucks is that we all keep seeing on Just Jared. Well, we haven’t received any more information about the exact filming location yet, but we did find the Starbucks!

Just Jared posted the first pictures from the set of The Romantics tonight and I couldn’t be more excited! Finally Seth Cohen and Joey Potter have come together to form the most perfect on-screen couple ever!

Katie Holmes is leaving Boston for The Big Apple.
Mrs. Tom Cruise has been standing by her man while he films Knight and Day with Cameron Diaz in Beantown but she is striking out on her own later this week to begin The Romantics in NYC.
Katie will replace Liv Tyler in the indie film which also stars Anna Paquin, Josh Duhamel, Malin Akerman, Elijah Wood, Adam Brody and Jeremy Strong. According to Variety, the movie is about eight college friends who reunite for a wedding.
The Romantics begins shooting around New York City this week so be on the look out for permit signs! And we’ll keep you posted with set pictures and filming location updates throughout the shoot!

As I mentioned, we spent the weekend in Boston stalking the sets of Wichita, The Zookeeper and The Town, but I’ll have more on that later.
While we were there, we happened to find Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Suri and Connor at the Mandarin Oriental where the family has been staying while Tom is in town filming Wichita with Cameron Diaz. The Mandarin Oriental has become a hot spot for celebs recently. U2’s Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr were also staying there over the weekend and comedians Kevin James and Adam Sandler have been spotted there in recent months as well.
Wichita is scheduled to film a scene in which a commercial 727 airliner skids into a Cumberland Farms cornfield near Curve Street in Bridgewater, MA on Thursday, Sept. 24 and Friday, Sept. 25.
In the mean time, check out the shots we took of Katie and Suri leaving the hotel Monday afternoon to take a walk and do some shopping. Interestingly, the crowd wasn’t waiting for Katie at all, they were actually hoping to get a glimpse of U2 who played at Gillette Stadium last night.
UPDATE: According to Loaded Gun Boston, Tom and Katie are looking for new digs out of town and away from the paparazzi which means their days at the Mandarin Oriental are numbered.
