We have some great set pictures from CSI:NY (filming in NYC) and pictures from the set of Gossip Girl. Thanks to Martha for the CSI pics and thanks to Caitlyn who sent us a picture of her and Penn, and one of her, her friend Chelsea, and Connor on the set of Gossip Girl. The last photo was sent to us by Casi who was also lucky enough to meet Penn on set (with her friend Cara). Thanks Casi!

One of our readers, Tiffani, was on the set of Gossip Girl twice last week and met Ed, Chace, and Willa! Here are her pictures and stories, thanks Tiffani!
“Luckily, yesterday they were filming two blocks away from my house so me and my friend hung out there for like an hour. We knew the security guards from the last time that we went on location and they completely remembered me! It was so funny. We were having great conversation and my friend said ” I cant wait till the moment I meet ed” and he told her “Well you dont want to miss this moment.” He went and walked him to the trailer and then he came out five minutes later. The security ‘escorted’ him to us and we got to take a whole lot of pics. It was great at the moment but her camera had like no focus. We took the pics and you could tell that it was Ed which was good enough. My friend tried to fix it today and accidentally deleted all the pics we took with him! But luckily I had one that i took on my phone from her camera screen. It is kinda blurry, but i know who it is! So here it is! Once again thanks for everything. And Ed is a really sweet guy with the hottest accent ever!”
“Yesterday I got to take a picture with Ed but today I got to meet Chace. Gosh was he the sweetest thing on earth! He even gave me a hug and greeted me with a ‘Hey sweetheart’. I almost died! Lol. We also met a new castmate Willa Holland who was on the OC as Marissa’s younger sister. We saw Taylor but she had to rush into hair and makeup and two hours later she still hadnt come out. Our security guard friend bought us pizza afterwards because we had been out in the rain waiting for two hours. Chace even called us troopers.”

One of our readers, Heather, sent us this full account of her experience on the set of Gossip Girl last week at Columbia University:
(Thanks to Heather!!)
“Hi my name’s Heather and me and my cousin Kristina met the entire cast of Gossip Girl last Monday and Tuesday at Columbia University. On Monday we saw Blake, Leighton and Ed filming and then we met Ed! He was super sweet, absolutely gorgeous in person and has the most adorable British accent. He was more than happy to take a picture with us and talked to me for a few minutes before he left for the day. Blake and Leighton seemed nice but hurried out of the trailer and to the set and didn’t stop for pictures. There were a lot of paparazzi there though so that’s probably why they didn’t want to stop. One of the paparazzi told us Leighton wasn’t in a good mood because earlier in the morning a photographer got too close to her and accidentally hit her in the face with his camera. We didn’t see that so we don’t know whether or not it’s true.
First Ed and Blake filmed a scene together outside of one of the buildings in the Columbia campus and it looked like Serena was arguing with Chuck. They shot that scene at least 20 times! Then Ed filmed a scene on the steps leading out of the campus where Chuck is grabbed by 3 guys, they put a bag over his head and carry him away!! That was definitely the craziest scene to watch! It was so realistic too, it was freaky! It was pretty funny, we were walking out of the campus to stand outside and we didn’t know they were going to be filming a scene on the steps that we had to walk down so we literally walked right next to Ed (my favorite). I didn’t even realize and when my cousin told me I was already half way down the stairs. So when I turned around to look for him, he was standing there looking right at me. So I waved and he gave me the cutest smile ever and then I blew him a kiss and he gave me an even bigger smile and an adorable facial expression haha! The last scene we watched was Blair and Serena talking in front of another building in the campus. We first saw Leighton and Blake rehearsing the scene and Leighton looked so different! She didn’t have her extensions in so her hair was shorter and she had no makeup on. Blake’s hair and makeup was already done from the scenes she shot earlier in the morning. Leighton went back to her trailer and when she came back she had turned into Blair, hair extensions and all!! They were obviously filming a scene that’s supposed to take place in the fall because they were all wearing jackets and sweaters even though it was probably close to 95 degrees that day! We were told that Penn was going to shoot a scene later that night but it was so hot that we decided to call it a day and go back the next day.
We went back on Tuesday and the whole cast was there! First when we got there we watched Leighton and Blake filming a scene. The crew let us stand really close to them, it was amazing! We got really great pictures of them. Leighton was wearing the funniest outfit! In the scene, Serena gets a phone call and Blair listens in on it. Then Serena grabs Blairs hand and they hug. It was really adorable. They shot the scene quite a few times! After we watched the girls film for a while we walked around the campus and met the 3 boys! First we met Chace who is so incredibly cute in person and extremely sweet too! He had sunglasses on and when we asked to take a picture with him he took the glasses off and said of course. He was really cute and fun! We got to talk to him for a minute before he had to go to the set. Then we saw Penn who was sweet but very quiet. He took the picture with us and then left without saying too much. We then saw Ed but he had to go straight to film so we didn’t want to bother him, it’s definitely easier to catch them when they’re done shooting because when they’re going to shoot they have to rush to the set. We also saw Blake go into her trailer to change her clothes but missed her when she was coming out so we didn’t get a picture with her. Oh and Penn followed her into her trailer which we thought was pretty funny! We watched Chace and Ed shoot a scene outside of a limo right in the entrance to the campus. Again we were able to stand really close to where they were filming so we got some great pictures. A couple times Ed looked right at me and I got like 2 pictures of him looking at the camera but then I felt funny snapping them in his face. They just stood around for a while talking to each other and other crew members. Then they rehearsed for a little while before they filmed the scene where Chuck and Nate are talking while they stand next to a limo. After they filmed we got to meet Ed again. We caught him when he was leaving for the day which was perfect because he had more time. It was only us and him around so he wasn’t in a hurry. He had a tote bag in his hand and he put it on the ground while he was talking to us which made me think awesome he plans on standing here for a few minutes haha! He was sooo nice again and gorgeous. Much better looking in person even though I think he’s adorable on the show. He seems too sweet to play Chuck though! He had already changed out of Chuck’s wardrobe and fixed his hair so he looked more like himself. Before he took a picture with me, I asked him if he could please say “I’m Chuck Bass” in Chuck’s voice!! That’s like my favorite line that he says on the show. He was really funny, first he was playing with me saying he’s not allowed that they won’t let him. He was laughing the whole time and was a lot of fun. Then his expression changed into a Chuck expression and he said it for me! It was amazing, he sounded totally different then his normal voice and exactly like Chuck on the show. It was really crazy but so cool to hear and see. Then he took another picture with me and seriously couldn’t be any sweeter. In fact he seemed surprised when I told him he was my favorite (which he is)! It was an amazing day!”

We received three sets of pictures from today’s Gossip Girl set in Brooklyn. First up are pics from Tiffani who was at the set today with her friend Andrea and they were lucky enough to meet most of the cast! Here are her photos:
Next up are pictures of Ed and Jessica taken this afternoon by Danni O. Danni O. was on set around 3 and asked Ed for a photo after he finished filming around 3:30 and Ed “thought for a moment, and then told me, “when lights out…” or something like that. I assume he meant when they were done filming at the end of the night”. That’s the second negative experience with the cast of Gossip Girl we’ve heard about this week, hope they aren’t getting too full of themselves! Here are Danni O.’s pictures (which are great even though Ed wasn’t very cooperative)!
Finally, we got this picture from Cindy who (along with her cousin Cami) was able to get a picture with Ed and Jessica today, goes to show it really is all about timing, here it is:
Thanks so much to Cindy, Danni O., and Tiffani for sharing their pictures with us!!

One of our readers, Sari, met Chace and Penn while they were filming scenes for Gossip Girl at Brooklyn College thanks to one of out tips! She sent us a full report and pictures, she even has a few great tips for those of you heading out this week to check out Gossip Girl filming around NYC!
Here is what Sari had to say about her experience last week and her excellent tips to help you meet the cast:
“I got there at like 3ish and they weren’t filming… we were like a few yards away from the set of the scene like behind a gate and Chace was standing next to a water cooler talking to someone, I think she was interviewing him. Then he went to rehearse his scene for like 10 minutes and then he came back to eat lunch. While he was eating I called his name and he looked up and waved! Then they filmed his scene for like a half hour and then he walked over to where us fans were behind the gate and came to talk to us and take pics etc…he was SO nice! He gave me his autograph, told me I have a beautiful name, and had this whole cute conversation with me about a movie he was in, The Covenant.
Then later on Penn came and was like not even acknowledging the fans. Somehow a few girls got in to the gated off area from a different side and got to take a pic with him so then one of the crew members, John told us not to go crazy and stop trying to get in because he’ll go ask Penn to come to us. And he did! So then Penn came and was like “ok let’s do this quick, get in groups with your friends and only one camera, and email it to each other”. When my friends and I got our picture he was like talking to someone about what he wants to eat.
I saw them filming 2 scenes. In one Nate (Chace Crawford- who is GORGEOUS by the way, and totally sweet) was talking to this girl with short brown hair and I think he was saying something about Dan Humphrey. The other scene had him and Dan (Penn Badgley) talking about something but I couldn’t hear what it was exactly.
The whole thing was over at like 6/7ish and we were walking with Chace a little bit as he was leaving and he was SO friendly and sweet!
So I’ve been to a few filmings of GG and this is what I’ve learned:
1. The crew people don’t like to be annoyed and they can kick you out so if you’re nice to them and keep a low profile, they’re more likely to give you useful information and possibly get the stars to come to you.
2. Also, you have a better chance of meeting the cast when they are filming outdoors than indoors because they are already there and they see you waiting. MOST of them are really nice and happy to meet their fans.
3. There is no way to know when exactly they will film and when they’ll stop to chat. It depends a lot on the lighting and weather too. Like if there’s a cloud making it dark they might take a break till it’s sunny again…
4. They usually film a few scenes at different spots around the same area so if you leave and come back they might’ve moved.”
Thanks again Sari, the tips are great (and let’s hope Penn was just having a bad day)! And now here are her pics:
