Another Report From The Set of Fringe in Vancouver

Pandora was also on the set of Fringe in Vancouver on Monday night and sent us this full report:

Mon Oct, 26th – filming for S02E11 of FRINGE

First I must say, of all the sets I’ve been too, tonight’s visit to the set of Fringe was by far the most enjoyable. The cast and crew alike were a friendly bunch, taking time to chat with us. All the main actors were there – Anna, Joshua, Lance, John and Jasika. We didn’t want to bother John on his smoke break but the show’s ALM (I feel bad for not remembering his name) called him over for us anyway. He graciously signed my dvd sleeve and even stopped to chat about how it still amuses him to no end that his wife is a fangirl of the show.

Later on that night we got to chat with him again, he hailed us out when he was swarmed by another group of fans and we got a chance to get a picture with him this time. Throughout the night we got to chat with the show’s friendly, talented crew. We missed getting photos and autographs with Jasika…was busy talking to John again lol.

The highlight was definitely seeing Joshua Jackson. Okay…not really the seeing him part, but the fact that he remembered me and my friend Angie from like 2 months ago – you remember Angie: the English girl that missed her flight to meet him :P . Anyway ,the poor guy was sick but still braved the cold weather to chat with fans and take photos and we talked about Angie for a bit, apparently he’d told the crew the story about how she’d missed her flight. While signing my dvd sleeve, he stopped to tell one of the crew “You remember the English girl that missed her flight? This is her friend!” Best night ever!

After sharing a chuckle over Angie again, Josh was back inside and back to filming. Sorry I don’t have a pic with him from tonight – was too busy talking about Angie and excited over the fact that he remembered us.

Shooting wrapped for the night around 12:30am. I was in utter awe of how quickly these guys broke down the set and got everything all packed up – seriously SPN’s got nothing on them :P The Fringe crew defiantly deserves major props for all their hard work.

We caught Anna as she was leaving that night – my photo with her came out blurry *cries*…oh well, good reason to visit the set again ;) . She looked tired but we were able to put a smile on her face when I asked her for her autograph – I told her that John signed on her and it was only appropriate that she signed on him. Her response was “God damn him!” *shakes fist and laughs*

Despite the intense cold and losing my leather gloves, I had a great time. I can’t wait till we catch them shooting again. Here are some pics from our visit:

Two more fans met Joshua Jackson & John Noble on the set of Fringe in Vancouver

One of our readers, Natalie (@soupaircool) and her friend, Christy, met Joshua Jackson and John Noble on the set of Fringe Monday night thanks to a tip in our new Vancouver thread! Here is her full report and photos.

We saw a shot being filmed at the building next to Chambar. It was doubling as the New York State Troopers office. They also filmed a shot on the street (Beatty) at a faux New York newsstand. John Noble came out to smoke a cigarette between takes. He was sitting in his chair smoking. He saw me and a few other standing there. I held up my camera with a little “Can I” look on my face. He waved me over and took a photo with me and my friend as well as the other two girls there.
About 5 minutes later Joshua Jackson came out with either the director or someone that was telling him how to film the scene or giving “directions” which is why I assumed director but I know nothing about filming. He was standing around for about 10 minutes and then went back inside. I thought “Oh well, it was nice to see him in person but we’ll wait a few more minutes.” Joshua saw the 4 of us so I knew if he had time he would come back out. He has been so sweet to everyone I know who has met him. Sure enough he came back out and right over to us in about 10 minutes. He came out only to see us. There was no other reason for him to step outside. He is just that nice. He agreed to pictures but with a warning that he has been sick and he didn’t want to be responsible for making us sick. He took pictures with all 4 people waiting. He was incredibly nice and talked to everyone for a bit. Just an incredible guy.

Filming News: Link Love for October 14, 2009

Kristen Bell has signed on to co-star with Christina Aguilera in Burlesque, about “the journey of an ambitious small-town girl (Aguilera) with a big-town voice who finds love and success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club.” Shooting begins in Los Angeles November 9th with a Thanksgiving 2010 release planned.

Jon Hamm was injured on the Boston set of The Town last week.

Boarding School 3D, starring David Chokachi, begins filming in Detroit later this year. Wasn’t he on one of those VH1 shows where washed up celebs go to try to revive their career? Based on the title of this movie, I don’t think it worked.

Gerard Butler is blaming the paps for ruining scenes for The Bounty while they were filming in NYC. He said, “A lot of the paparazzi are really good people but some of them are a nightmare. They go out of their way to disrupt filming and it’s really sad because you’re there with a crew of 200 just trying to make a living.”

This isn’t movie related, but it’s such a cool idea I had to include it: Rap Maps: Plotting Jay-Z’s ‘Empire State of Mind’ on Google.

Several big names are heading to Spokane, WA for the movie The Big Bang. Antonio Banderas, Sam Elliott, Rebecca Mader (Lost) and Snoop Dogg are all set to star in the film. This will be the second movie Snoop filmed in Spokane, he was also featured in the 2007 film, The Golden Door as well.

Shreveport, LA has launched a filming location sites tour for their city.

Extras are need for the film, Let Me In which begins filming in Albuquerque next month.

Monday, Governor Schwarzenegger signed an anti-paparazzi bill that will make it easier to sue media outlets that use photos that invade celebrities’ privacy.

Finally, as Perez would say, this is completely gratuitous.

Filming Locations for October 9th-11th, 2009

WEEKEND LOCATIONS:

The project once known as Wichita, starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, is filming on Rutherford Avenue in Charlestown, MA on Saturday 10.10 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m & Sunday, 10.11 from 6 a.m to 1 p.m. Upd: Wichita is also filming Woburn sometime this weekend.

Wall Street 2 (with Shia Lebeouf) is filming at Fordham University (Southern Blvd and Fordham Rd, Bronx, NY) on 10.10 and 10.11. Definitely filming at Fordham on Sunday too. (Thanks to Anon, Bulbarosa & Alice!) Upd: Signs also spotted at53rd street between 2nd and 3rd Ave for Sunday. (Thanks Larry!)

Signs for The Other Guys (Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell) posted at Wall St and Water St & Water Street and Hanover Square, NYC for Saturday  10.10 and Sunday 10.11. (Thanks!) FYI: I got an update that this location may be for Sunday only. If anyone check it out and can confirm, please leave a note below, thanks! Upd: They are filming at 135 Jacques Ave, Staten Island, NY tonight (after 6) too. (Thanks Det. Movie Buff and Anon!)

The Adjustment Bureau (Matt Damon and Emily Blunt)  is filming at Worth and Centre St on Saturday 10.10. Signs were also spotted on Leonard St between Broadway and Church. (Thanks Sarah Beth!)

The Adjustment Bureau is filming at the New York Public Library (5th and 41st) on Sunday 10.11 and Monday 10.12.

Jared Leto’s band, 30 Seconds to Mars, is filming a video Under 6th Bridge, Santa Fe Ave – LA River, on Upper Grand Ave, 2nd St. – Hope Pl & Lower Grand Ave, GTK Way – 4th St, Los Angeles on 10.11, 5:30 P.M. – 6:30 A.M.

Something called The Ride is filming at Upper Grand Ave, 2nd St. – Hope Pl, Lower Grand Ave, GTK Way – 4th St. & 2nd St., Figueroa St. – Hill St, Los Angeles on 10.11, night shoot.

Update: We got a tip that SATC2 is filming around Broadway and 64th tonight (Sunday)…but I also heard tomorrow they are filming at 63rd and Broadway for sure so I’m not sure if the signs was to move cars today & film tomorrow. (Thanks Meagan!)

BOSTON:

The Town, starring Ben Affleck, is filming on Foster Street, Boston, 6 a.m.- 8 p.m.

NEW YORK CITY:

Wall Street 2 signs spotted around W 25th and 8th, NYC. Signs also spotted near 2nd Ave and 50th. (Thanks Terry and Anon!)

The Other Guys signs spotted at  Broome St & Lafayette and on Crosby St and Spring St in SoHo ( 7 a.m.- 10 p.m./12 Mid). (Thanks Amanda Demetrise & lili!) Signs also spotted near Columbus Circle. (Thanks Anon!) UPDATE: We had a report that it is actually Wall St 2 filming at Columbus Circle today. If anyone can confirm which project is there, please leave a comment below, thanks!

How To Make It In America is filming around Greenpoint Ave and N. Henry in Brooklyn.

Nurse Jackie spotted at 8th Ave and 22nd St, NYC yesterday, may be back today. **I also heard they would be filming at the bar this afternoon which I believe is Kelly’s Bar, 31-04 Crescent St in Astoria.

Damages is filming around 88th and CPW again today.

Law and Order is filming around 24th St and 10th Ave, NYC.

The Beaver is filming in Harrison, NY, near the police department on on North St again today.

Also, something is being filmed on 15th Street between Irving and Union Square. (Thanks Suzanne)

VANCOUVER:

Supernatural is filming in Stanley Park but security is very tight.

Fringe is filming in 200 block of West Hastings St. (Thanks @fringewatch! via@monnibo) Update: They will be filming at the corner of W.Hastings & Cambie, at Victory Square starting around noon until around 6 pm. (Thanks J.D.!)

Joshua Jackson Meets Fans On The Set of ‘Fringe’

I have been a total slacker with posting pictures I’ve received in the past week or so, not because I don’t appreciate them but because I have been so busy, so I’m trying to get caught up on some of them today. And what better way to start than with pics of my fave, Joshua Jackson!!

Angela and Tamar were in Vancouver a couple of weeks ago for the Supernatural Convention but were determined to meet Josh while they were in town. Thanks to one of our tips they caught up with him on set the day they were leaving and unfortunately it caused Angela to miss her flight back home. Josh was such a gentleman he even helped her hail a cab in attempt to get to the airport in time! (You can see him put his hand on her shoulder in the first picture below.)

Later that same night Angela (along with her friend Stephanie) met up with Josh again at the Fringe DVD release party. Two encounters with Joshua Jackson in the same day? In my opinion that’s totally worth missing a flight for! Thanks to Stephanie for sharing the pics!

Furry Vengeance, starring Brendan Fraser, is filming in Danvers, MA. Brooke Shields will also be on set today.

Greek permit signs for filming spotted at UCLA. (Thanks Catherine!)

Fringe is rumored to be filming at Riverview Hospital in Coquitlam again this afternoon. FYI: When they filmed there yesterday none of the lead actors were there, only stunt doubles, so we’re not who, if anyone, will be there today. (Thanks to Anon!)

The Office filmed at Maid of the Mist in Niagara Falls yesterday, rumor has it they will  be filming in Niagara Falls again today. If you have any more info about possible locations, let us know!

One Tree Hill is filming a scene on the Causeway Drive bridge over Banks Channel in Wrightsville Beach from 6 to 11 a.m., 8.31. In the scene a character is going to jump off the bridge.

Chuck is filming at 506 S Grand Ave, Los Angeles on 9.1, 8:00 A.M. – 12:00 A.M., 9.2, 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 A.M, and 9.3 2:00 A.M. – 6:00 A.M.

Big Love is filming at 1792 E. Walnut St, Pasadena, CA on 9.1.

CSI: New York is filming at 433 S Spring St, Los Angeles on 9.2.
