The HBO movie, Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Fight which is shooting at 23rd St and 5th Ave in New Your City through next week, will be filming scenes in Albany and Schenectady, NY on Wednesday, May 10, and Thursday, May 11, and they are currently looking for extras for the shoot.
The movie will focus on Ali’s objections to the Vietnam War and the ensuing ‘fight’ with the US government. After Ali was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1966, he refused to step forwarded at the armed services induction and was arrested. Since he had converted to Islam two years earlier, he argued the conflict was against his religious beliefs. Later, a series of appeals led him to the Supreme Court. Danny Glover, Barry Levinson, Pablo Schreiber, Ed Begley Jr., Bob Balaban and Kathleen Chalfant have also joined the cast.

Olympia Dukakis, Virginia Madsen, and Aidan Quinn are currently shooting The Art of Love in New York’s Hudson Valley. The film is about a young girl who sparks a magical power she didn’t know she had after falling in love with a young poet.
The production spent the first to weeks of the four week shoot filming at the Byrdcliffe Art Colony before shooting several exterior and driving scenes in Woodstock, NY last week. They are currently wrapping up the final week of filming at the Saugerties High School in Saugerties, NY.
This is the third film the movie’s production company, BCDF Productions, has shot in the region this year. The first was Higher Ground, starring Up In The Air’s Vera Farmiga, and the second was Peace, Love and Misunderstanding, starring Jane Fonda.
