The independent movie The Secret Handshake starring Amy Grant has just started filming in Nashville. She will be playing the mother of one of the trouble-making boys in the film. The family film will be similar to Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and City Slickers.

The story circles around a father trying to raise his three daughters, but they have gained the attention of the neighbourhood’s trouble-making boys. Director Howard Klausner (Space CowboysThe Last Ride) says that the film is “a story of men and boys on a journey from suburbia to the deep dark woods, and back again – with adventure, laughter, and maybe even a tear or two.”

ABC’s Nashville isn’t the only project filming in Nashville, TN this fall.

A new movie starring Ray Liotta, Ashley Judd, Seth Green, and Joe Pantoliano, has been filming in and around Nashville for the past couple of weeks.

The Identical follows the path of a musical family from the 1950s through the 1970s. “It’s a fictional story but one that is based on many key historical moments,” says writer Howie Klausner. “I think anyone who lived through that time period will appreciate the evolution and history of Rock and Roll portrayed in this film.”

Last month it was announced that Stoker, starring Nicole Kidman, Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode and Jackie Weaver, had started filming in Nashville, but few other details were available until now.

According to dnj.com, the majority of the movie has been filming at a mansion in Belle Meade, just south of Nashville. The cast and crew was also spotted filming a scene at Motel Murfreesboro in Murfreesboro, TN last week.

The location of the shoot has proven to be quite convenient for Kidman who lives in Nashville with her husband, Keith Urban.

Stoker, which was written by Wentworth Miller, is about an eccentric teen girl who, while mourning the death of her father, has to deal with her mysterious uncle who unexpectedly reunites with her family.

If you spot Stoker filming in Tennessee, let us know about it at olv@onlocationvacations.com!

Last weekend, the cast and crew of Love Don’t Let Me Down celebrated the completion of the filming with a Wrap Party in Nashville, where the movie was also filmed.

And what would a party for a movie about musicians be without some Karaoke? Reportedly, party-goers sang along to their favorite songs all night long.

Not to be outdone by her co-workers, one of the movie’s stars, Gwyneth Paltrow, hopped up on stage and belted out her own special rendition of Killing Me Softly, which you can check out in the video above.

Love Don’t Let Me Down also stars Tim McGraw and Leigthon Meester. It is expected in theaters later this year.

Shrek Forever After, the first movie of the series to be in 3-D, will have its premiere on April 21 in NYC, the opening night of this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. Part of the fest will also be available online for the first time this year.

Here’s a story about the Love Don’t Let Me Down, the Tim McGraw flick that just wrapped in Nashville.

Apparently, the Bishop’s Lodge Ranch, Resort & Spa is the hotel that was featured in Crazy Heart. This would be a perfect on location vacation in honor of Jeff Bridges’ Oscar nomination for the film!

According to the Chicago Tribune, Michael Bay is “looking to use Chicago in a unique and very different cinematic way”, in Transformers 3.
