Dustin Hoffman and director François Girard will appear at Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT on Thursday, Feb. 20 to discuss their next film, which will be shot at the school this spring.

Several scenes for the independent movie, Boychoir, will be filmed on the Fairfield campus starting next month.

The new horror movie Animal is currently filming in the Manchester, Connecticut area, most recently in the Maude Dennison Cabin off Birch Mountain Road in the Case Mountain Recreation Area. Filming is to continue through mid-August.

The plot of the movie revolves around a group of friends hiding out in an isolated cabin, trying to survive in unknown territory as a blood-thirsty predator pursues them. Jeremy SumpterElizabeth Gillies, and Keke Palmer star, and the movie is slated to be released in the spring of 2014.

I’m not sure how we missed this.

According to several local news sources, Katie Holmes has been filming a new movie in Kent, Connecticut for the past TWO WEEKS.

Katie has been spotted around town with Suri (and their bodyguards). They recently had dinner at Doc’s Trattoria and Brick Oven Pizza on Maple Street too.

Holmes has reportedly rented a house in Kent, while the production company has booked several hotel rooms in nearby New Milford for the crew.

The movie has been seen filming on Richards Road and Kenmont Road in Kent.

The Untitled Christian Camargo Project is  a modern retelling of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull.

Former Shield co-stars Michael Chiklis and Forest Whitaker are teaming up again for Pawn, a crime drama which centers around a hostage situation gone wrong.

The movie also stars Common, Ray Liotta, and Nikki Reed, who recently tweeted, “Packing just isn’t fun, but I’m excited to head to Connecticut and begin filming my next project PAWN.”

According to the Connecticut Film Office, Pawn is scheduled to shoot in Connecticut from Dec. 1 through Dec. 23.

Steve Carell, Meryl Streep, and Tommy Lee Jones will be spend some time in Connecticut this fall to shoot the upcoming movie, Great Hope Springs.

The big budget film is expected to shoot at eight locations in Stonington, including the Old Lighthouse Museum, the Inn at Mystic, a home located at Church and Orchard streets, Water St, and three area restaurants, Skipper’s Dock, Water Street Cafe and Noah’s. They will also filming at the Econo Lodge in Mystic.

Though their schedule has not been confirmed as of yet, Great Hope Springs is expected to shoot in Connecticut between late September and early October.

The community of Greenwich, CT is used to celebs roaming the streets. It’s counted Glenn Close, Mel Gibson, Kathy Lee Gifford, and Diana Ross among its residents. But the town may have never seen star power quite like this before.

Yesterday, The Wedding (which was once titled Gently Down The Stream) began filming in Greenwich with an all star cast that includes Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Katherine Heigl, Ben Barnes, Topher Grace, Robin Williams, Susan Sarandon and Amanda Seyfried.

This week the movie’s set is a house on Stanwich Road, but they also looking to shoot a night scene at the Burning Tree Country Club in town soon.

It looks like David Boreanaz won’t be getting much rest on his hiatus from Bones this summer.

The actor began filming a new indie flick entitled Officer Down by Brian A. Miller in Bridegeport, CT this week, along with co-stars Sephen Dorff, Dominic Purcell, Stephen Lang, James Woods and AnnaLynne McCord.
