Breaking Bad may be finished, but filming in Albuquerque, New Mexico is as busy as ever.
The new Fox series Hieroglyph is currently casting and will start filming in March at Albuquerque Studios. The show, which is being compared to Game of Thrones, is set in Ancient Egypt and focuses on a thief taken out of prison to serve a Pharoah.
The movie Good Kill is now filming in Albuquerque and is currently looking to cast “young men with buzz cuts, or willing to buzz cut [their] hair, ages 18 to 25, to work as military recruits.” As well, they may still be looking for two women stand-ins/models, specifically:
SuperHeroHype recently scored the first photos from the New Mexico set of The Avengers. According to their tipster, “These were taken in Albuquerque, NM where they are filming the Avengers movie aka GH aka Group Hug. They have leased the old Santa Fe rail yard.”
We did some research and it sounds like their tipster is likely referring to the Albuquerque Rail Yards, which has been a popular filming location for other projects in the past. But, as far as we know, the vast majority of the New Mexico shoot will still be taking place in Albuquerque Studios.
Bryan Cranston along with some of his Breaking Bad co-stars, the stars of In Plain Sight, and “members of filming being shot in New Mexico” (The Avengers, maybe??) will be participating in a charity baseball game at Isotopes Field in Albuquerque on May 8th and everyone is invited to attend!
All proceeds from the event will benefit Youth Development, a nationally recognized youth service organization that provides educational, developmental and humanitarian assistance to children, youth and families in central and northern New Mexico.
The charity event will kick off at noon before a scheduled Isotopes game. For ticket information, visit MinorLeagueBaseball.com.
