This weekend The Amazing Spider-Man (working title Fiona’s Tale) shot several scenes at a home in Brooklyn, including a few in the (fake) rain, one where Gwen (Emma Stone) slaps Peter (Andrew Garfield) across the face, and one where Peter and Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) have a heart-to-heart talk on the roof.

Today, they also shot an additional a scene in which Dr. Connors (Rhys Ifans) comes to visit Peter (and you’ll notice in the pics below they have one of his hands covered in a green sleeve to add CGI effects) and they discuss something on the porch.

We often hear about the hijinks of celebrities while they’re filming on location, but some of them are doing good in their temporary hometowns too.

USA Today reports that the stars of the upcoming movie The Help rescued several homeless animals while filming in Greenwood, Mississippi last year. Allison Janney, Sissy Spacek, and Emma Stone were among the stars who were saving dogs’ lives for the Society to Prevent Cruelty to Animals. One vet said, “Wow, these Hollywood people are keeping us in business rescuing these dogs and bringing them to us.” Hopefully, they threw in a few donations along the way too.

A few of our readers caught the action at Taft High School in Woodland Hills, CA today where they filmed a scene involving a helicopter for the upcoming Spider-Man Reboot.

The helicopter had NYPD painted on the side, suggesting there may be some trouble at Peter Parker’s high school in the upcoming reboot. A couple of the shots also show where the trailers and trucks were parked (including what looks like a tank) and 3 “Night Light” trucks which means they are definitely filming tonight too.
