Where to see celebs in Austin
SXSW kicks off tonight in Austin, TX with two big events. First, Robert Rodriguez is hosting a “first look” at Predators at the Alamo Ritz Theater in downtown Austin. Predators, the latest chapter in the Predator universe, was partially shot on location at Rodriguez’s Austin-based Troublemaker Studios. The film stars Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, Alice Braga, and Laurence Fishburne.
Also happening tonight, the movie Kick-Ass is premiering at the Paramount in Austin. Kick-Ass tells the story of teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero.

The Coen Brothers (No Country For Old Men) are holding an open casting call from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the East Memphis Hilton, 939 Ridge Lake Blvd, for the role of spunky young Mattie Ross, the lead character in their upcoming remake of the famous 1969 western, “True Grit.” According to the casting office, the filmmakers are looking for “a 12- 16-year-old Caucasian girl who is tough, strong and tells it like it is. They are open to all looks, so come give it a try. No acting experience is necessary.”
