Our friends over at TheHob.org recently posted a few interesting tweets by North Carolina newsman Russ Bowen, who closely followed the filming of The Hunger Games, in which he speculates the next movie in The Hunger Games series, Catching Fire might be filming in Georgia.
“Looks #catchingfire filming in NC could be very limited. Soundstage used for #hungergames may move out of Charlotte #avlnews #cltnews“
“Just asking the question. Is NC fighting to keep #catchingfire?”
“Pre-production for #catchingfire starts in mid-june and looks likely soundstage leaving Charlotte and headed to Atlanta #avlnews #cltnews“
Director Randall Miller is currently prepping CBGB, a biopic about the infamous NYC club of the same name. The film will revolve around Hilly Kristal, played Alan Rickman, who was the club’s founder. The film will most likely focus on the late-’70s era of the club when bands like the Ramones, Talking Heads, Television, and Blondie played there.
Filming on the CBGB is expected to begin on June 25 in a Savannah, GA studio where the club’s graffiti-covered interior will be recreated. Though most of the shoot will take place in Savannah, some exteriors will be shot in New York City this summer.
In July HBO’s Game of Thrones will return to Paint Hall Studios in Belfast in Northern Ireland, where seasons one and two were filmed, to begin shooting their third season.
In addition to the studio, the show plans to utilize two new purpose-built 44,000 square-feet sound stages in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter, as well as the Linen Mill Film Studios in Banbridge, for additional filming.
As they continue prepping sets, they are also looking for thousands of extras to appear in the show.
Extras NI has issued a casting call looking for all types of men and women. You can check out the complete casting call below:

According to one of our readers, Stephen, “they are ripping up the field at Phillips Park [in Swampscott, MA] and putting in an in-ground pool for the filming of Grown Ups 2.”
The filming location for the pool, which will be the set fro many important scenes, has been a source of controversy for a few weeks but it looks like Swampscott and the production company have finally come to an agreement.
Trucks were already delivering fill, loaders were moving storage bins, and crews were working on generators and surveying the property in preparation of the shoot yesterday.
Grown Ups 2 is the follow up to the 2010 movie starring Adam Sandler.
One of our readers, John, sent us these photos of celebs arriving at Radio City Music Hall in NYC this morning for NBC’s Upfront Presentation.

Those lucky enough to be invited inside were treated to a performance of Let Me Be Your Star by Smash stars Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty. They also watched a clip – introduced on screen by Tina Fey and Jimmy Fallon – that showed what the network would look like if they gave all of their series the Smash treatment with a montage of the casts of Parks and Recreation, The Office, Law & Order: SVU and Grimm, singing their hearts out.
Tonight there has been a lot of buzz on Twitter about a cute interaction between Fringe star Joshua Jackson and Glee’sNaya Rivera in which he helped her onto a golf cart and introduced himself at today’s Fox Upfronts.
