Just a few days ago we received a report that Red Band Society was filming at The Georgian Terrace in Atlanta and thought that might be a good sign for the series, which FOX had pulled from their schedule. But, based on the latest extras casting call for the show, it looks like it has been canceled after all.

A recent call is looking for security guards for the “last episode for Red Band.” According to the post, filming will take place on Dec. 8 and Dec. 15. They are also looking for people to play corpses and gift shop workers.

After the show was taken off of the schedule at FOX, fans did rally around it, issuing a petition to save the show, but it looks like Red Band Society’s fate is sealed.

Check out the full casting calls below. Are you upset to see the Red Band Society go?

Fans often ask how they can become extras in their favorite TV shows so, over the past couple of years, we’ve been featuring some of the shows we get asked about most, and explaining how to become a background actor in these TV series.

This week, we’re putting a spotlight on another fan favorite – Grey’s Anatomy.

The first thing fans need to understand is that you usually need to live in the region where a show is filmed – in the case of Grey’s that’s L.A. – to become an extra.

Extras casting for Grey’s Anatomy is handled by Jeff Olan Casting, who also takes care of casting for How To Get Away With Murder.

To apply for an extra role on Grey’s (or How To Get Away With Murder), background actors must be registered with Jeff Olan Casting. Unfortunately, right now, they are not accepting new registrations. But, they do hold open casting calls on occasion, so it is important for fans to watch their website and Facebook page for announcements.

Jeff Olan Casting will NOT be accepting new registrations at this time until further notice. Check on this website or call our registration hotline: 818-377-4475 for updates for new registration.

Last month we reported Paper Towns – a new movie based on the John Green novel – was going to be filming in Wilmington, NC this week, but now, due to a change in venue or scheduling, the movie is shooting in Cabarrus County, outside of Charlotte, NC, instead.

The movie’s crew has transformed Central Cabarrus High School, located at 505 N Carolina 49, Concord, NC, into Jefferson Park High School for the shoot which will continue through Saturday.

They are also still looking for local extras for the scenes too, check out the latest casting call below:

Filming of Parenthood‘s final season is winding down, but, before the Bravermans say goodbye forever, the cast and crew will be spending a few days shooting in San Francisco.

Though Parenthood is set in the Berkeley, CA area, it is shot in Los Angeles. Now, a recent casting call is looking for children and babies, 1 – 2 months old, for a shoot taking place on Dec. 11 & 12 in the San Francisco area. Since one of the casting calls is looking for babies that can pass as newborns, we’re guessing the scenes might include Amber and her baby.

If you have babies or toddlers at home and would like to apply, check out the casting call below, but, keep in mind, you must be local to San Fran.
