‘The Reach’, starring Michael Douglas, begins filming in Farmington, NM

Michael Douglas’ latest film, The Reach, began filming in and around Farmington, New Mexico on Saturday.

Over the weekend, signs for the movie were spotted at E Broadway and Scott Ave and 108 N. Behrend Ave. Douglas himself has also spotted walking around town, he even stopped in to Zebra’s Sports Grill to watch Thursday night’s football game.

The Reach, which Douglas is producing and starring in, follows a big game hunter who hires a young guide to lead him into the American desert, where a murder occurs.

The movie is expected to continue filming in New Mexico through the end of October and extras are needed in both Farmington and Shiprock. Those interested in applying to appear in the film, can email a current color photograph to New Mexico Extras Casting Director Lorrie Latham at lorrie@lathamcasting.com, include the following information: height, weight, age, phone number, email and location of residence.

The reach is filming 3 doors from my parent house and the base camp is next door to where my husband is a cook at chubby chicken

The Reach will be filming downtown Farmington Saturday , Sep29, 2013. Road blocks to be expected.

Saw them today on La Plata hwy (hwy 170)
Really pretty back in the hills where they were..
