Last weekend Parenthood star Lauren Graham tweeted that she had arrived, “In Atlanta to start a movie with Joel McHale and Robin Williams. Here, when men call you “Ma’am,” it sounds nice. #usuallymakesmefeelold”

The movie Graham is referring to is A Friggin’ Christmas Miracle, about a father who forgets his son’s present on Christmas Eve and has to drive through the night with his own father in order to save Christmas.

Christmas Miracle is expected to begin filming in Atlanta this week and they are still looking for extras. Men and women with a Middle Eastern look, elderly men and women, and kids under ten are all needed for the shoot. To apply, contact Extras Casting Atlanta at Ecaextras@gmail.com.

Saw many filming equipment trucks parked on Woodland Drive near Lenox Rd. today, May 5. Also many trucks parked in a vacant lot off Executive Park Dr. near N. Druid Hills and I-85. About 3 weeks ago saw a lot of lighting equipment set up outside Peachtree Baptist Church at LaVista and Briarcliff. Is all this activity related to A Friggin’ Christmas Miracle?

I found out that the filming in my area was for “A Good Lie,” to be released in December. Shooting should have been completed today, unless it was delayed by rain. I was amazed at the amount of equipment required to shoot on location.
