The movie will shoot at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville on July 20 through August 21.
Space Warriors, which is being directed by Sean McNamara, is about five kids who win spots at NASA’s space camp and take action when something goes wrong aboard a space station. Thomas Horn, Trace Adkins, Laura Linney, Terrence Howard, and Greg Kinnear are set to star.
Here are the details about the casting call via al.com:
Auditions will take place at Hollywood Huntsville, 705 Stevens Ave. from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for those with scheduled appointments. If you are not represented, schedule an appointment through Actor's Access, an online company that will have a site set up for this film.
An open casting call is scheduled July 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Callbacks will be from 2 to 6 p.m. that day.
You can also audition online starting Monday. These online auditions are more age-specific, calling for several teenagers ages 13-18. You may go to the site and submit a 30-45 second monologue that best showcases your acting abilities. Priority will be given to those who submit before July 13.
Candidates who submit videos after July 13 will have the same opportunity, but selections will begin upon receiving. The final deadline for submissions is July 31.
This locals casting call is completely separate from the call for extras, which will occur at a later date and time, the film company said.
