James Franco will be promoting The Dangerous Book Four Boys this month in L.A. and NYC, including two book signings planned at MOCA and Strand Books.
The book is based on a 2010 exhibition curated by Alanna Heiss and organized by the Clocktower Gallery in which Franco explored themes of childhood and nostalgia, games and destruction. The exhibit included experimental films, drawings, and childlike constructions which we documented here when the exhibit opened.
On April 13, at 7:00 pm, James will participate in a book signing at Strand Books, 12th St and Broadway in New York City. There are no tickets available for this event, but if you order the book online in advance via the Strand you will be guaranteed admittance into the signing. For more information visit StrandBooks.com.
James will also discuss the book and sign copies at L.A.'s Museum of Contemporary Art on Saturday, April 14, 3–5 pm. For more information, visit MOCA.org.
Franco is currently wrapping up his role in the film Spring Breakers, in which he plays a nearly unrecognizable criminal who bails out four girls on spring break in exchange for a favor. You can check out a photo of James in character above.
