Filmmakers are looking for extras for Spring Breakers, which will begin filming in and around St. Petersburg, FL soon.
The movie follows four college girls who rob a fast-food restaurant to go to spring break and land themselves in jail. Along the way they meet up with a shady criminal who bails them out of jail in exchange for them killing his arch-rival.
The criminal is played by James Franco, while the girls are played by Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Heather Morris, and Ashley Benson.
According to TampaBay.com, principal photography is expected to begin later this month in St. Pete Beach (though a recent casting call states the movie won’t start shooting until March) and last about a month.
The article also says a production offices for Spring Breakers recently opened in downtown St. Petersburg, “and about 40 homeowners in the Pinellas Point and Driftwood areas received letters detailing what producers seek for location shoots, including a house with an uncaged swimming pool.”

Umm sorry but this film is in St. Petersburg! Their filming it on a beach in St. Pete I’m not telling which one though!!
filming starts Monday in Sarasota on a college campus for one week, then moves to St Pete
