The Vampire Diaries is filming the season one finale right now in Covington Square, Covington, GA this week.
In the scene, Convington Square “plays” the fictional Mystic Falls which is celebrating its 150th Anniversary in the episode. The celebration includes a parade which they’ve been filming since Sunday.
Vampire Diaries is expected to return to Covington Square on Wednesday and Thursday (4.14 &4.15) to wrap up the rest of the episode.

arrrgghhh. im sooo mad because my family and I were by covington today and i heard about a month ago that the Vampire Diaries was filmed in Covington so i was super excited to be going there. I saw the mystic Grille and everything, and than found out they just filmed there ast episode last sunday. I seriously almost cried. I wish i was able to meet them. i was so upset.
any idea when or if they have already started filming?
Ian Tweeted today “On my way to set- ran put of gas- BP gas stations evetwhere in Atlanta. I passed everyone of them, cruised on fumes but found a chevron. ” So they must be back at it in Georgia!
