Wed Nov, 4th – filming for S02E12 of FRINGE

Hey OLV peeps – Pandora here again. Got a chance to visit the Fringe set this week – they were shooting near the VCC-Clark skytrain station. This week’s visit was a little different from my usual encounters. The show was set up at an office building site for filming at the location for several days so it was a large scale shoot aka – everything was cordoned off.

The major cast was present – Anna, Josh, John, Lance and Jasika. All in fine form as usual. (I’m told that earlier this week Mr Jackson had been running around shirtless with a gun….poor guy, no wonder he’s sick) ….Alas I know some of you ladies are swooning and now eagerly awaiting the premiere of this episode for a glimpse of our boy Joshua shirtless running around the scene ;) Regrettably I must admit I wasn’t there that day, else I’d have snapped ya’ll a pic.

On visits like these, though disappointed that it was hard to see or get close to the action, it afforded me the opportunity to talk to and get to know some of the amazing crew of the show. (Shout outs and much love to Andrew, Rob and Mark) Rob even showed me some pics of my favorite character – Gene the Cow :P . She’s such a cutie. I think this is my new mission – to meet Gene #4…at least as for as i know it’s #4 (For those of you who don’t know there have been several cows along the way to play the beloved Gene)

As always, freezing my ass off in the dark, on some random street in Vancouver, turned out to be worth it by the end of the night. When the cast and crew broke for lunch (doesn’t matter the time of day – when they break to eat, it’s called lunch) :P I saw my chance to get past the CDC Hazard Tape/ pylons at the edge of set and got to talking to one of the crew about the scene they’d previously been shooting and even got to take a peak inside the CDC tent – OMG wicked cool!!! (sorry no pics of this)

Despite not being able to get close to the action during the night, much fun was had with one of my usual partners in crime and a visiting friend that came along for the fun. At one point speculation was made as to whether the CDC Tape was for filming or to keep the crazies away for fear of some strange deadly contamination LMAO….yea did I ever mention we’re a strange, easily amused bunch??? You have to admit though, what with all the folk decked out in HazMat suits, the FBI and Boston PD, we were right to wonder :P

Smart us, so caught up in amusing ourselves and trying to keep warm, we missed our chance to have a quick chat with John Noble while he was on his smoke break. Ah well, there’s always next time.
