The next, highly anticipated movie from Marvel, Thor, might be filmed in New Mexico. Casting call sheets for the movie, which will be directed by Kenneth Branagh, described a “small New Mexico town” as the home of one of the main characters. The film is scheduled to start shooting in January, with a proposed release date of May 2011. Of course, we all know that just because a movie is set in a certain location doesn’t mean it will film there. But, with that said, New Mexico is offering some of the best tax incentives in the country right now and has attracted several other movies and TV show in recent years.
