One of our readers, Krystal, met Gerard Butler on the Brooklyn set of The Bounty on Tuesday, September 1st. Here’s her full report and pictures, thanks so much to Krystal for sharing them with us!

I love your site and I wanted to share some of my photos from The Bounty shoot in Williamsburg. The one scene they did on Graham Ave and Skillman Ave was quick. But once they were done Gerard Butler was kind enough to take pictures with the fans even though we were being told no by others working on the set. I myself didn’t get a photo with him sadly because he was rushed away to head to the Greenpoint studio to finish up but I did get a great shot of my friend and her son with him. When she asked if he could take the picture she was told no immediately [by someone else] but he brushed that off and said of course come on over!!!! He fussed over the baby a little and was very sweet. He also greeted a fan and her pooch and I got a shot of him giving the little doggie a smooch on the head. He was all smiles and seemed to be more than happy to try and get to as many of us crazy fans as he could before being pulled away…lol. I was told this was the last official day of filming by someone doing crowd control for the shoot… but we’re hoping they’ll need to do a few re-shoots sometime in the future..lol.

Hi Kystal

Thanks so much for sharing your piccies. He was just the same at the UK TUT Premiere which was crazy, but he still spent time signing autographs and talking to fans. Gerry’s kindness knows no limits. He loves his fans and that’s why we love him.

Y.xx

You are very lucky! As a long time “fan” or “loyal friend”, Gerry’s consistent gracious and sweet way he always tries to take time to acknowledge his fans. He still is amazed how much we love him! He is very special and that’s one of the many reasons we adore him so much! He is one of a kind!
Just a really nice man….

congrats on the pics!
Lord knows I will cherish mine forever too!

I first saw Gerry in the movie “Attilla”. I was mesmerized by his handsome face and body. I did detect a slight difference in his speech. Didn’t matter. He could have been tongued tied and I wouldn’t have cared! After finding out just who he was, I realized he had been covering a beautiful Scottish accent! Ever since then, I have been a frantic fan. I often wondered why there wasn’t anyone like him over here! I guess I saw in him an honest and sincere passion for his art rather than himself. It was so refreshing! Every interview that I have seen has uncovered his genuinely funny personality (a tribute to his Scots Irish family). I have to admire his “mum” for instilling in him some good Catholic virtues. I am sure she is so
proud. My wish for him is that he stays true to who he is and not give in to the “hollywoood” disease. I love, love, love him!!!

I’m a big fan of Gerry’s – he seems like such a sweet guy, and he’s hysterically funny. I wish him much success. It was fun seeing these photos of him interacting with folks after the shoot.
