One of our readers, Moose, saw them filming today’s scene for Royal Pains at the Oyster Bay Marina.
He told us, “shooting took place on the sailing ship Quasart which is equipped with facilities for film production. They also had several trailers and vehicles in a “base camp” at Teddy Roosevelt Park, which adjoins the marina. I found a spot on a fishing pier adjacent to the ship – about 50 yards away – and was able to shoot a number of photos, which I’ve uploaded to my web site here.”
“Paulo Costanzo and Reshma Shetty were in the scene. It looks like they shot three takes of the scene while I was there (I spent about 2 hours in the park this morning). In the scene, they appear to have some sort of “heated discussion” then Costanzo throws a beer/soda can over the side of the boat. Of course, the harbor patrol was there, out of sight, to fish the can out of the water. During some of the down time, Shetty was sitting alone on the boat, and seemed to keep looking in my direction – I guess my big white Canon lens isn’t very covert.”
