Broadway Empire is filming at the Republic Airport. Interesting note: In the opening scenes of last night’s episode of Royal Pains, Hank boards a helicopter–that scene was also shot at Republic Airport in May. The helicopter used in the shot, as well as the business jets in the background, belong to Talon Air, a Republic-based charter operator. (Thanks Moose!)

I was there yesterday and wednesday for a couple of hours, and while I got Chris’ autograph (way to nervous to ask for a photo) and I haven’t been able to get Mariska’s. She’s been hobbling round set and I didnt want to pester her while she was walking cause whatever she’s done, it looks painful.
Last day in the city tomorrow before I fly home on Saturday and I’d like to thank everyone who contributes to this site for making my stay in NY so much fun! I got to meet Chris Meloni! I’m going to be on a high till christmas
SVU filmed into the night last night as they had a night scene. Mariska fell and hurt herself on Wednesday and was taken to the hospital just to be checked out. Because of this, she has not been all that visible. If she is not filming, she has been in her trailer or car. Also, for those of u looking to meet Mariska, she is off today as it is part of her contract that she has every other Friday off. Think they may be on stage today.

It must have been quite a bad fall cause she seemed to have real trouble walking even a few step. Hope its not too bad. She was sitting in her chair yesterday between shoots but I didnt want to bug her. I know they must be used to fans asking for things but I didnt want to be annoying.
Guess I’m just going to have to make a trip back across some time in the future. It’ll be a real struggle I’m sure ;p
Does anyone know what time of year the other L&O’s film? Especially CI?
I could be wrong but I believe CI is currently filming. FYI their stage is actually at Chelsea Piers in NYC. As for Mariska, she is always a doll and as sweet as can be to her fans. Have seen her be gracious even at 2am after filming for 12 hrs. Good luck next time around. Maybe I’ll see u there!

Like you, I didn’t want to bother Mariska. She didn’t look our way (but she was very close to us), but still, I didn’t want to call out her name. She looked like she was in a lot of pain and was limping severely.
M, thanks for the info, its very helpful (re Mariska being off every other Friday. I guess this was part of the contract negotiations?).
I was around when they where filming at set 1, outside the deli/grocery shop. I was there from about 11 till just after 1. I watched them set up, film some scenes with the woman who is obviously going to be the victim and then follow up scenes with Chris and Mariska. I could have stood there for hours just watching everything happen, nothing like that really ever happens back home and it was really interesting.
Its going to be a long time till i get to see them on tv though, as in the UK we are several seasons behind. I think we may have just started on the 6th season.
I see that there is a location for today and its not too far away from where I am staying so I might check it out when I get back from my show tonight. If anyone’s going, can they post what time they are filming til? I dont want to be wondering around too late since I dont know the area.
I would have loved to have seen CI filming. That was the show that got me interested in all the others and I love the characters.

I havent had time yet, but I’ll be looking into flights and things some time over the next week or so but it’ll probably be a while till I’m able to get back since I’m coming from the UK. Sadly its not just a quick subway ride away.

I went to the SVU set Wednesday. My friend is visiting from Canada and i wanted so much for her to see them. (We’re both huge fans) We hung out with Chris Meloni, but i still want to give meeting Mariska another try before my friend leaves Monday.

nooo. not Georgina. Nate was hanging out with that girl who’s from Priviliged JoAnna Garcia aka the teacher from the South who Blair wanted to get even with for giving her a less than stellar grade on her paper and makes her lose her spot in Yale.
JoAnna Garcia from Priviliged is Nate’s new love interest, shes not the teacher. The teacher Blair got even with was Rachel Carr. She’s gone.

Jsut after I sent you that message, I decided that I had enough time to go and take a quick look. I got there about 5.10ish and they where just starting to head into the building so I think they might have been shooting in there. It was the building next to the one that said “college ??”. There was an ME’s van parked out front and I caught the briefest glimpse of Chris but that was it. I was away again in ten minutes.
The bounty is filming next Monday in the west village. Sighs are on 7th ave near sushi samba/ bleecker front of magnolia bakery/ and hudson. Some one pulled the paper work so we didn’t see it sooner! Probably the papa!
GG is filming at Crosby and Prince tonight according to someone’s twitter who is there.
just got back from the set. it was crazy. its not even worth going. there are a million little obnoxious girls screaming when the cast came out so they ran the other way. they are filming a party on a rooftop later tonight.
Anyone know if Chace Crawford is going to be at any of the GG shoots? I’ve been to two and I haven’t seen him. I would’ve went today but I didn’t want to risk it if Chace wasn’t there.

Went to the SVU set today. Observed Chris & Ice-T doing a scene or two. Didn’t want to approach them because i had just talked with Chris two days previous.
Made sure Mariska wasn’t there & sat in the park for a while.
It was nice to observe them without getting all hyped up and set on following them to ask them for a picture at the right time.
