Here’s a round up of some of the coverage of the craziness surrounding Robert Pattinson’s first days of shooting Remember Me in NYC. Hopefully, the fans will be better behaved as filming continues!

OK! says “Rob plays a young man who has just lost his brother to suicide, splitting up his parents and taking the joy out of his life. Co-star Emilie de Ravin plays his love interest, a woman who see her mother killed in front of her.” They also have 10+ pictures here.

Monica Gleberman, the NY Pop Examiner at Examiner.com, gives her first-hand account of Rob’s day on set Monday, saying, “Once the scene was done [filming], security had Pattinson walk back to his trailer causing mass hysteria. All of these young girls, older moms, men (you name it they were there) chased him down the street to his trailer.”

EW and the The L.A. Times both covered the hysterical scene on Monday as well, including links to OLV!

New HBO Series Shooting in Michigan

The upcoming HBO series, Hung, about a high school coach whose life isn’t going his way so he decides to become a male escort, is set in, and has been filming in, West Bloomfield Township, MI. West Bloomfield has been hit so hard by the downturn in the economy that they are sponsoring a Foreclosure Extravaganza on June 25th where they hope to find buyers for all of the foreclosed properties in the area. Hopefully, Hung will give a much needed boost to the local economy.

Casey Affleck Filming In OK

The Killer Inside Me, a psychological thriller set in the 1950s, starring Casey Affleck, Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba, continues filming in Oklahoma City this week. A reporter from nearby Tulsa took a drive out the set last weekend and watched Casey film in ’50s attire but, unlike some Twilight fans we’ve heard about, decided not to bother him while he was working.

First Look At The Robin Hood Set

The BBC has a first look at the Robin Hood set in Wales. They are shooting a major battle scene at Freshwater West Beach in Pembrokeshire. The scene involves over 800 crew and cast members, not to mention 130 horses.

Taylor Kitsch is John Carter of Mars

Taylor Kitsch has been cast as John Carter, a Civil War vet who is transported to Mars where adventure awaits, in the aptly titled new film, John Carter of Mars. The movie, which also stars Thomas Hayden Church and Lynn Collins, begins shooting in Utah this fall.

Update: Tom Cruise is the latest star to have his eye on Boston

Word around Boston is that producers for Cruise’s next film, Wichita, have already approached city and state officials about securing permits to close select roads and bridges for the film. Location scouts have also been in the city for a few weeks checking out various neighborhoods.
