Pics of This Week’s Sets for ‘Best and Brightest’ & ‘Iron Man 2′

John from TEAM L.A. visited Downey Studios in Downey, Calif. Tuesday, where they are currently filming Iron Man 2. The set had chain-linked fence all around,  covered with tarp and  “Beware of Dogs” signs posted every 10 feet. There were yellow MFP (Marvel Films Production?) signs everywhere near the location. Security was very tight—security guards were even posted even across the street. Here are a few shots of the set that John was able to get before being chased away!

Today on the other side of the country, HughE from PhillyChitChat got a couple pictures of the set of The Best and The Brightest. The movie is set in the world of New York City’s elite private kindergartens and centers on a fresh-faced young couple, Samantha and Jeff, who have only recently moved into town. The comedy centers on their dawning realization of the lengths they must go to in order to get their five-year-old daughter into school. The movie stars Neil Patrick Harris, Bonnie Somerville, Amy Sedaris, John Hodgman, Peter Serafinowicz and Christopher McDonald.

Filming Locations and Events for the Week of 6.15.09: Including 1st Location For Remember Me

**6.15.09**

Remember Me, starring Robert Pattinson, signs were spotted on University Place and 8th Street (NYU area) for Monday, 6.15. (Thanks Rachel!) Update: Permit says they are filming on the 16th as well, and near Washington Square Park, thanks Gaby!

Bounty Hunter, starring Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston, (aka The Bounty) is filming a parade scene on 6. 15th -17th,  on Manhattan Avenue north of Freeman Street in Brooklyn from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (Thanks Anne!) :)

Year One (starring Jack Black, Michael Cera & Olivia Wilde) will premiere on Monday, 6.15 in New York City at the AMC Lincoln Square. Afterparty at the Empire Hotel Rooftop. (Thanks Kim!) :)

The Back Up Plan, starring Jennifer Lopez, is filming at 400 Colorado Bl, Pasadena on 6.15 & 6.16. :)

Easy A is filming at Nordoff High School in Ojai CA all week. (Thanks Shannon) :)

Entourage is filming at 1200 California Bl (Caltech) and Wilson to Del Mar to Hill to California, Pasadena on 6.15 and 6.16. :)

Update: A Couple of Cops (aka A Couple of Dicks), directed by Kevin Smith, is filming around 4th Ave from 92nd St towards 86th in Bay Ridge Brooklyn on 6. 15 and 6.16. (Thanks to Andy for the tip!!)

Boardwalk Empire (new HBO pilot) is filming at 8th Ave and Lincoln Pl in Brooklyn. (Thanks John!)

Date Night, starring Steve Carell and Tina Fey, is filming on 9th ave from 42nd to 44th, NYC. (Thanks Jen!) (This might be for tomorrow because I got another tip for same location saying signs are for filming 6.16, Thanks Sue!) UPDATE! Date Night is filming on the Lower East Side tonight. Towing beginning at 6am today for filming 1pm today-7am tomorrow. Pike Slip/South Street/Cherry Street/Rutgers Slip/Rutgers Street. (Thanks Robert!)

Royal Pains is filming at/near Jones Beach, NY.

Lauren Conrad (The Hills) will be having a book signing at The Grove Barnes and Noble, Los Angeles starting at 7 PM on Tuesday, 6.16. (Thanks Christina!) :)

In today’s AMNY paper under “Shopping Events”: Ed Westwick will be at Bloomingdale’s Men’s Metro Level, 59th & Lex, all day Thursday to host the debut of the K-Swiss Remastered Classic sneakers. The first 50 customers to make a purchase will have the chance to have their photo taken with him. (Thanks Denise!) UPDATE: EVENT STARTS AT 6 PM.

Signs for The Bounty posted up Crescent Street around 30th Avenue in Astoria, Queens for 6.18 & 6.19. (Thanks Scoobs!)

Filming Locations and Events For June 11th

Any location information that I feel is relatively accurate (because I have seen the info on other sites or have received tips from multiple sources) I have put a :) next to it as a way to rate the accuracy of each tip. I’ll try this for a few days. If you follow a tip and find it is incorrect, please let us know in a comment. Thanks!

Valediction is filming in the Boston Public Garden area, Boston MA tonight. :)

Salt is filming at the Dar Constitution Hall in DC.

Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia is filming in Philly between 10th and 11th on Carpenter and Carpenter to Christian. (Thanks Kelly!) UPDATE: Filming at Dave and Busters this afternoon. Tomorrow they will be filming at a house near Fourth and Porter Streets and outside the Holiday Inn at 10th Street and Packer Avenue in South Philly. (Thanks Kelly!) :)
