TV and Movie Filming Locations for 3.26.09

Fringe is filming on 119th St between 5th and Lenox, NYC. (Thanks Caroline!)

When In Rome (starring Kristen Bell, Will Arnett, Josh Duhamel, Danny DeVito, Jon Heder, Anjelica Huston, Dax Shepard) is filming on 86th Street between Park & Madison, NYC. (Thanks Megan!) Upd: Kristen is filming tonight.

Rescue Me is filming near Church Street around Duane Street and Lafayette and White in lower Manhattan again. (Thanks Randy!)

Law and Order is filming in the vicinity of Carroll and Clinton Sts and Summit and Henry Sts in Brooklyn. (Thanks Julie and John!)

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (starring Nicholas Cage) is filming near 8th Ave at 6th St in Brooklyn again. (Thanks D.S.!)

Howl is filming at the Bronx Supreme Court, 851 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY.

Did You Hear About The Morgans? (starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant) will be filming on 63rd between Lexington and 3rd, NYC. (Thanks Tiffany!) Upd: see comments

The Untitled Nancy Meyers Project (starring Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, and Alec Baldwin) is filming near Russell St and Greenpoint Ave, Brooklyn (Broadway Stages).

A movie called Mercy (could be this or this) is filming at 680 Broadway and E 32nd in Patterson, NJ. (Thanks Andrea!)

Parks and Recreation, the new Amy Poehler sitcom, is filming at 100 Garfield Av N, Pasadena, CA.

The Company Men, a new Ben Affleck film, is setting up their base offices at121 Webster Ave. across from the Save A Lot/Home Depot in Chelsea, MA.

UPDATES:

The Extra Man, starring Paul Dano and John C. Reilly, is filming from 6AM – 2AM on 87th Street between Amsterdam Ave. and Columbus Ave in NYC. (Thanks Yosef!) (FYI: We’ve heard Katie Holmes has completed her scenes.) Upd: FIB says they are also filming on the LIE service road near Greenpoint Avenue.

Salt (starring Angelina Jolie) is filming in studio at Grumman Aerospace, Grumman Rd W, Bethpage, NY.

L & O: CI is filming near W 23rd and 10th Ave, NYC. (FYI: someone spotted signs in this area but this is also near their studio so they may be filming in studio.)

Guiding Light is filming on 57th between 9th and 10th in NYC. (Thanks Mazars!)

Update:

The new CBS pilot Miami Trauma is filming at the corner of Broadway and Linden in Long Beach, CA. (Thanks Becky!)

Philadelphia Film Festival Opens Tomorrow

Tomorrow night the Philadelphia Film Festival and Cinefest 09 kicks off with (500) Days of Summer. The movie, starring Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is about about a woman who doesn’t believe true love exists, and the young man who falls for her. A screening of the film will be followed by a party on the 19th Floor of the Park Hyatt Bellevue in the hotel’s Promenade, Rose Garden and Bar, and Cafe XIX with light bites and a limited open bar. The film’s director, Marc Webb, as well as select cast members, will be in attendance.

Opening Night Admissions
Combination Ticket • $65 Public / $60 PFS & PCA Members
6pm or 8:30pm – Screening of (500) Days of Summer, Prince Music Theater
10pm – 1am Opening Night Party
XIX Nineteen, Park Hyatt Philadelphia at the Bellevue, 19th Floor, Broad and Walnut Sts.
Admission for film only: $15

Other highlights of the festival include awards ceremonies honoring Jeff Daniels and Alfre Woodard, the closing night celebration including a screening of Lymelight, and Danger After Dark, a collection of the most horrifying genre films from around the world. They are also looking for extras in Oregon for a new movie starring Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser. The Untitled Crowley Project begins filming in Portland in April and could last three months. There is an open casting call for “just plain folks” – and a few just plain cars – Sunday, March 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel, Lloyd Center, 1000 N.E. Multnomah St., Portland, OR.

Breaking News: Jon Hamm Joins The Cast of Howl

Jon Hamm (Mad Men, 30 Rock) has joined the cast of Howl. Hamm will play the defense attorney, Jake Ehrlich, whose life was the inspiration for the TV series Perry Mason.

The movie, starring James Franco as poet Allen Ginsberg, is about the obscenity trial that centered around Ginsberg’s famed poem Howl.

Today, the movie continues filming at the Bronx Supreme Court where it will be through the end of the week.
