Hiii whats up! K so i wanted to know where the gossip girl studio is?? And i also wanted to know if i go to the city next week is it like possible to get in to the place or is it hard?
Yeah i’d also love to know where the Gossip Girl set is as I am going to New York at Xmas and i know they won’t be filming then but it would be so cool to see all the buildings filmed in the show. Would it be possible for you to tell me and carolene above where you went to see all the people. Thankyou in advance

Yes, I’d like to know where the Gossip Girl set is located in case it says that they’re filming there on the day that I’m going to the city (11.15.08) which is a weekend. Does anyone know if they film on weekends?

carolene–the Gossip girl studio is in Long Island City. It’s called silver cup studios. You can’t get in the place. The studio is very private and only workers are allowed inside. You can stand outside and hope that a character you likes comes out for some fresh air. I’ve met a few members of the cast that were outside during scene breaks.
Gracie– If you’re just looking for a landmark you can try the Palace hotel. There are many scenes in the show from their court yard area and inside the hotel. It was very thrilling to see that for the first time in person after seeing it on tv.
Rebecca-They don’t film on weekends usually.
Christine doesn’t usually get the information for filming locations in advance other than the night before or so. There isn’t a permanent set for gossip girl. Sometimes they are on the street filming and sometimes they are in the studio. You never really know, but just keep checking back here. The tips are usually very helpful. this site is great!

Jenn–they are all so so sweet. They are always willing and ready to take pictures with you as long as they are not running late for a scene, and if they are they always promise to come back when they are finished.
ur so lucky!! was leighton nice? What did she say, and how did she act towards you?
Nicole…that’s awesome! =] Does anyone know when they go on break for filming? (Dec-Jan, maybe?)
leighton is a sweetheart just like all of the rest. i’ve only met her twice and she took pictures with us both times.
jenn-they break after they finish 27 episodes i think? i would say they are at the 15 mark now? i’m not positive but it’s somewhere around there. i think they usually finish up in march. If the show comes back for a third season they would start filming again in august =)

did u meet leighton like both times during that one trip? or like two different times while she was filming? did she remember you if u saw her a long time before u saw her again?

Nah that’s fine I’ll just have to cross my fingers and hope I see someone. I live in the UK and those are the dates I’m in New York so that’s why I was wondering aout those dates.

I don’t suppose anyone knows where is a good place to see people from the television in New York as I know it is a massive place and have never been before so would have no idea where to start.

I’ve meet Penn and Blake…and they are the most nicest people!!!…so sincere and down to earth
The show is certainly gonna have a third season…I think they are locked into a 6 year contract
this is reply to steph: they filmed in front of my house on a tuesday. They do film everyday of the week except weekends i believe, but the actual studio is in queens and when theyh do the outdoor stuff its all over
