We have some great set pictures from CSI:NY (filming in NYC) and pictures from the set of Gossip Girl. Thanks to Martha for the CSI pics and thanks to Caitlyn who sent us a picture of her and Penn, and one of her, her friend Chelsea, and Connor on the set of Gossip Girl. The last photo was sent to us by Casi who was also lucky enough to meet Penn on set (with her friend Cara). Thanks Casi!

Thanks so much to Howard for sending us all of the pictures below! He got shots of Russell Crowe, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Calista Flockhart at the Ed Sullivan Theater where they were filming the Late Show with David Letterman. (Exemplifying our #1 tip for seeing celebs in NYC.) He also sent us some shots from The Changeling premiere last weekend and even two pics of Alec Baldwin at a book signing at Barnes and Noble!

SAG is getting closer to a strike or at least a strike vote. The National Governing Board members vote on whether or not to strike on October 18th.
This proves how removed the board members are from the real world. What these union leaders seem to be neglecting is that the strike doesn’t just affect actors but everyone who makes a living from the entertainment industry. Take us for example (even though we don’t really make any money but let’s pretend we do for the sake of argument). The feature that drives the most traffic to OLV is obviously the “Daily Filming Locations” post. If SAG strikes, productions shut down, no one visits our site, we lose ad revenue. Even a small blog like ours which is WAY down the entertainment food chain is, well, screwed.
This doesn’t even touch on the fact that the country is facing the worst economic crisis since the great depression. The last strike (the writer’s strike) cost the L.A. economy 2.5 Billion Dollars. I understand that they want to negotiate to get a fair contract and I agree they deserve it. I also understand that most actors are living paycheck to paycheck like the rest of us. But doing this now is a slap in the face to every key grip, makeup artist, P.A, and yes, even every entertainment blogger.

Not Another Not Another Movie will be filming at 729 E. Temple St in Los Angeles on ( &10/12).
There is a Bollywood movie filming Philadelphia.
Stags is filming on 31st between 2nd and 3rd in Manhattan. (not sure what this project is, thanks to Robert!)
Friday Night Lights is filming from 6am til 11pm on 44th street between 7th and 6th ave in NYC. (Thanks JD!)

I’m exhausted just thinking about the Jolie-Pitts travel schedule. Last weekend they were in NYC, then New Orleans, then France, today back to Berlin, and I heard Angie will be at the Today Show (in studio) on Thursday. Here’s a video of Ang, Brad, Mad, and Pax in New Orleans, I need a nap.
