The Emancipation of Ernesto is filming at the 4th St Ramp from Mateo St - 4th St Bridge in Los Angeles.

CSI: NEW YORK is filming at 590 S. Santa Fe Ave in Los Angeles.

SVU is filming near 186th and Fort Washington in NYC.

Fringe is filming at Coler-Goldwater.

Law and Order is filming at/near City Hall, NYC.

Kings is filming at 5th and E 106th in Manhattan.

Two Film Festivals Kick Off in New York This Week

The New York Film Festival began Friday and runs through October 12th. The New York Film Festival, presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, defines itself as a chance to take account of the state of film as art. Clint Eastwood’s The Changeling, starring Angelina Jolie, will make its U.S. premiere, on Saturday, October 4th. The festival’s centerpiece, Steven Soderbergh’s epic, Che, will premiere on October 7th. Closing the festival is Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler, which has already won acclaim at the Venice Film Festival and The Toronto International Film Festival.

What separates NYFF from other fests is that they do not present awards to any of the films but rather present a curated group of thought-provoking films. Of course the festival does include several panels including an interesting panel on the state of film criticism that took place Saturday. The Woodstock Film Festival starts tomorrow in Woodstock, NY. This year’s festival has an impressive schedule packed with panels, upcoming films, and music events. In addition, they are presenting the Maverick Award to Kevin Smith this weekend. For ticket information, see the WFF website.

New Pictures from the L.A. Sets of ‘Bone Deep’ and ‘Heroes’

One of our readers, Diva, caught Bone Deep and Heroes filming in LA last week! She saw Bone Deep on 9/21, “Matt Dillon, Chris Brown and TI were all shooting different scenes on various streets that weekend. Sadly, no meeting or autographs that weekend either. Security is tough for that movie! Photos were actually not even allowed, but I worked around that…. lol Security got their way with the Chris scene though (they were extra mean and diligently watching us during his scene!), my camera was having issues, so I resorted to cell phone pics.” great information for anyone wanting to check out Bone Deep!

She also saw them film a scene for Heroes on Sunday. They filmed a scene where villain, Daphne (Brea Grant), gives a crazy look at a bike messenger, making him crash into a taxi. Thanks so much to Diva! Here are the pics:

9.29.08 Filming News Wrap-Up

Tim Burton started filming Alice in Wonderland in England last week. One of our readers, Dave, was kind enough to send us pictures from the print edition of a local paper and a link to the article!

John Cusack is in Vancouver for his next flick, Farewell Atlantis.

Chloe Moretz, the young girl playing Hit Girl in the upcoming movie Kick-Ass, is blogging about filming on location in Canada.

Inglorious Bastards will begin filming this month in Berlin which means the Jolie-Pitts have arrived in Germany.

As we have reported, The Hamptons have been a hotbed of filming activity as Gossip Girl, Royal Pains, and Suburban Shootout have all been filmed in the region recently.

We’ve reported that Transformers 2 is filming in White Sands, NM (one of the coolest places on earth). Now we have found out that White Sands is filling in for Egypt in the movie.

Guthrie, OK was transformed back to the turn of the century for the movie, Pearl last week.

This is very cool! They turned a community pool in Hawaii into a dangerous stormy sea for a scene in Lost, there is a video too! And could this be the REAL Lost location?

Finally, on a personal note, Thrusday’s episode of The Office was the best ever, they mentioned the Counting Crows (my favorite, yes I’m a geek), Utica, NY (which is very close to our “OLV headquarters”) and JAM FINALLY GOT ENGAGED! So in honor of JAM- check out the cute video below!

Speaking of The Office, we were nominated for a Blogger’s Choice Award but realize there is no way we are beating the juggernaut that is officetally.com, also nominated in category, so congrats to them! They have been friends to us when we had news about The Office so we wish them all the best! (Oh, but if you still want to vote for us, feel free!)

UPDATES: “SCC” signs spotted in downtown L.A. today (maybe Sarah Connor Chronicles?) signs pointed down Olive Street towards the 7th Street/Metro Center Station. (Thanks Karen!) Dexter has also been filming in Downey, CA, signs were spotted and they had a few streets blocked but they filmed at night with the cast so keep an eye out for Dexter if you are in Downey! (Thanks to Frank!) The Fine Living Network is filming in Hoboken, NJ this evening. Edge of Darkness is filming in Lynn, MA today also.

Another Round of Gossip Girl Set Pictures!

We’re finally getting Nicole’s pictures up from yesterday’s Gossip Girl shoot in Brooklyn. If you were following the comments on yesterday’s ‘locations’ post you know that Nicole was at the set and had a great time (which you can see for yourself in her pictures below, it even looks like Penn was having a good time which we haven’t seen in a while). She also sent us pictures from the Gossip Girl set on 9.18 where she met all three guys- Chace, Penn, and Ed! Finally, we are posting a fantastic picture sent to us by Alice who was lucky enough to meet Ed on 9.22.
