One of our readers, Sari, met Chace and Penn while they were filming scenes for Gossip Girl at Brooklyn College thanks to one of out tips! She sent us a full report and pictures, she even has a few great tips for those of you heading out this week to check out Gossip Girl filming around NYC!

Here is what Sari had to say about her experience last week and her excellent tips to help you meet the cast:

“I got there at like 3ish and they weren’t filming… we were like a few yards away from the set of the scene like behind a gate and Chace was standing next to a water cooler talking to someone, I think she was interviewing him. Then he went to rehearse his scene for like 10 minutes and then he came back to eat lunch. While he was eating I called his name and he looked up and waved! Then they filmed his scene for like a half hour and then he walked over to where us fans were behind the gate and came to talk to us and take pics etc…he was SO nice! He gave me his autograph, told me I have a beautiful name, and had this whole cute conversation with me about a movie he was in, The Covenant.

Then later on Penn came and was like not even acknowledging the fans. Somehow a few girls got in to the gated off area from a different side and got to take a pic with him so then one of the crew members, John told us not to go crazy and stop trying to get in because he’ll go ask Penn to come to us. And he did! So then Penn came and was like “ok let’s do this quick, get in groups with your friends and only one camera, and email it to each other”. When my friends and I got our picture he was like talking to someone about what he wants to eat.

I saw them filming 2 scenes. In one Nate (Chace Crawford- who is GORGEOUS by the way, and totally sweet) was talking to this girl with short brown hair and I think he was saying something about Dan Humphrey. The other scene had him and Dan (Penn Badgley) talking about something but I couldn’t hear what it was exactly.

The whole thing was over at like 6/7ish and we were walking with Chace a little bit as he was leaving and he was SO friendly and sweet!

So I’ve been to a few filmings of GG and this is what I’ve learned:

1. The crew people don’t like to be annoyed and they can kick you out so if you’re nice to them and keep a low profile, they’re more likely to give you useful information and possibly get the stars to come to you.

2. Also, you have a better chance of meeting the cast when they are filming outdoors than indoors because they are already there and they see you waiting. MOST of them are really nice and happy to meet their fans.

3. There is no way to know when exactly they will film and when they’ll stop to chat. It depends a lot on the lighting and weather too. Like if there’s a cloud making it dark they might take a break till it’s sunny again…

4. They usually film a few scenes at different spots around the same area so if you leave and come back they might’ve moved.”

Thanks again Sari, the tips are great (and let’s hope Penn was just having a bad day)! And now here are her pics:

Our first set of photos were taken last week by Vanessa at the Museum of Natural History where they were filming Night at the Museum 2! Make sure you check out the awesome picture of Vanessa and Tiffany with Ben Stiller!

The next set of pics of Ben Stiller were also taken at the Museum during the day on Monday, 8.18 by Melissa! Thanks to Melissa and Vanessa for sending us their photos!

Whip It! is causing quite a stir in Birch Run, MI.

Taking Woodstock is already having a positive economic impact on New Lebanon, NY.

Once More With Feeling wraps filming in Connecticut. While Connecticut plans to build a new movie studio.

Only one more week until the new 90210! Here is a pic of the cast filming at the Peach Pit. In related news I have a new favorite blog! She has been to the original 90210 studio, found Steve Sander’s house, and shows us how to rent Donna and Kelly’s apartment, does it get any better than that?

The Seinfeld Tour may be coming to a town near you. If not there is always the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Tour.

Here’s a cool website that shows famous movie locations on Google Earth.

Here’s another cinematic road trip from Intelligent Traveler, this one is in Massachusetts. I swear they read our site and steal our material!

Here’s an awesome site for the Lost fans out there. They have detailed reports from recent filming locations!

Looks like Transformers 2 is gearing up to film in New Mexico, we heard it would be sometime in September!

in Daily Filming Locations

UPDATE: We have pics from GG today, we have Entourage’s location for tomorrow (in Manhattan), we also got some great shots at Taking Woodstock today & we were at Extreme Makeover: Home Edition over the weekend too and have pics from that, we’re working on getting everything up this evening so stay tuned!!

Taking Woodstock is filming on Route 20 in New Lebanon, NY. We’ll be there, will anyone else?

Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia is filming at 116 E. 5th St in the morning and at S. Los Angeles & Winston St in Los Angeles in the afternoon.

Whip It! is still filming in Birch Run, MI.

Burn Notice is filming in Coconut Grove, Miami, Fl.

Law and Order is filming in and around Inwood Park. (Thanks Chrissy!)

Fringe is filming near 155th and Broadway in Harlem.

Gossip Girl is filming in Brooklyn, around Atlantic Ave and Bond St.

Lipstick Jungle is filming in the morning near 71st (Madison-Lexington) in Manhattan.

Last of the Ninth is filming on Pleasant Ave and E 116th Street in Manhattan.

SVU is filming near E 119th and First Ave in Manhattan.

Entourage is filming in Queens (58-45 41st Drive in Woodside). They will be shooting around NYC for the entire week (and I already have tipsters working on each location)! Here’s a tip: If you go to the set, watch out for The Pivs! He was one of my all time favorite celebs until I met him in Hawaii in 2006 and he was totally mean! I don’t know who he thinks he is, before Entourage he was nothing more than the poor man’s John Cusack, yeah, that’s right Pivs, I said it! On the other hand we also saw Adrian Grenier at Sundance this year and he seemed really sweet!

Also, we’re looking for tipsters in Vancouver, send us an email if you think you can help!
