Heroes is filming at 448 S. Hill St in Los Angeles.

Max Payne will be filming tomorrow (8/16) at 501 S. Spring St in Los Angeles. (This might be a reshoot.) UPDATE: Here is a video where the cast discusses making the movie!

Law and Order: SVU is filming in their studio today. We have had a few readers ask where the studio is and found the following address on another site, hopes this helps:
5801 W Side Ave
North Bergen, NJ 07047

City Island is filming in East Meadow, NY (on Long Island).  On Tuesday I had promised to have the info from our set visit up but obviously that didn’t happen so I will try to get it up today!

Supernatural is filming in Vancouver, here are some locations for this week.

FYI: Fringe was supposed to be filming in Brooklyn today but we heard it was cancelled due to the possibility of bad weather.

Life on Mars is filming in Queens (vicinity of W 47th and 7th).

Today is the last day of filming for The Good Guy. They are filming at 212 Bowery St between Rivington and Prince. Alexis Bledel & Bryan Greenberg are due on set. (Thanks Callie!!)

Jake Gyllenhaal began filming Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time in Morocco this week.

This week Entertainment Weekly features a cool article about pop culture field trips or what we would call on location vacations. Be sure to read the comments too, we got a shout out!

There is a special premiere planned for Tropic Thunder in Kauai where the movie was filmed.

As Upstate New Yorkers this is the most exciting news of the week for us! Taking Woodstock begins filming next week on Route 20 in New Lebanon, NY. Route 20 is one of our favorite “Sunday drives” it is kind of like the Route 66 of Upstate NY. We will be visiting the set often so stay tuned for our reports!

Colin Farrell is filming his latest, Ondine, in and around the Beara peninsula in West Cork, Ireland.

The Fifth Mafia which was scheduled to film in Grand Rapids, MI this summer has been pushed back. The film stars another one of our favorite Dawson’s Creek alums James Van Der Beek.

This is just fun. What OLV is to movie locations this site is to movie mistakes. We feel as if we are kindred spirits as we are both pulling back the curtain a bit on the magic of Hollywood!

This month, Stargate: Continuum was released on DVD. This meant huge excitement for longtime fans of the series but it should also be exciting for set-jetters as I predict this will be one of the most travel inspiring movies of the year! Why you ask? Because the film was partially shot in the Arctic, a rare feat for a production of this size.

This all came about because of an overzealous fan, Barry Campbell, who happened to work at APLIS. Campbell attended an autograph signing at a Stargate Convention and asked the film’s stars if they would like to go to the Arctic. The producers liked the idea and once it was ok’d by the Navy, Stargate’s writer, Brad Wright, began a script that would incorporate the Arctic.

The show’s director Martin Wood called filming in the region “amazingly complicated”. This was exemplified at one point when the cast and crew (cut down to only 7 people for the trip) waited nearly six hours in negative 50 degree temperatures for the Navy to drive a submarine up through four feet of ice.
