The Office is filming at 734 E 3rd St in Los Angeles (East Third Steakhouse and Lounge).
Prison Break is filming on 445 Ferry St in Los Angeles.
Edge of Darkness is filming in Boston.
Fringe is filming a funeral scene near E 8th and Caton Ave in Brooklyn. (We also got a tip they will be filming on Coney Island on the boardwalk.)

The Women will premiere in L.A. on 9/4 at 6 PM at Man Village Theatre 961 Broxton Ave, Los Angeles.

UPDATE (9/2): Flight Of The Conchords is filming down Vanderbilt Ave. The signs start at Mrytle and Vanderbilt. (Thanks to Danni O!) If anyone has any more tips or pics for FOTC please send them in! FOTC is my favorite, who needs Joshua Jackson when I can bag Jermaine! We’re looking for writers. If you have a story about something you saw filming or a location where a movie was filmed, drop us a line. It doesn’t have to be anything too formal. We are just looking to get some new ideas and new voices on the site. We won’t be able to compensate you but it may look good on a resume or make a good writing sample.
We are also starting a new contest this week. We ran a photo contest last year but just as it started so did the writer’s strike so it never went anywhere but we are going to give it another shot!
This contest is a bit different and a lot more fun! Since so many of you are using our tips to meet celebs we thought we might be able to get some free advertising out of it in the process! Here’s how it works, if you use one of our tips to meet a celebrity and get them to say Hi to On Location Vacations on video we will send you an iTunes Gift Card. It’s that easy. There are a few small stipulations. First, it has to be one of the stars of the movie or TV show. You can’t get a random extra or PA to do the video and think it will count, it won’t. You also have to upload it to YouTube and email the link to us, that will be the easiest way for us to get it up on the site.
So here’s an example: You bring your Flip to the set of Gossip Girl, meet Ed Westwick, get him to say something to On Location Vacations (you can be creative here, maybe get him to say something like OLV rocks or On Location Vacations is awesome, something like that) upload the video to YouTube and send us the link, it is that easy! And it might be a great excuse to start a conversation with a celebrity!
There is a bonus round: Most of you know that I love Joshua Jackson! If you are on the set of Fringe thanks to one of our tips and meet Josh and get him to say something directly to me (Christine) as well as saying something about OLV, you will get a bonus prize!

I’ve slacked off a bit in the past week and now have so much news to cover I’m breaking it up into two parts, here’s the first half:
There will be a special screening of Nights in Rodanthe in the Outer Banks for locals who worked on the film.
Kiefer Sutherland was spotted in Downtown L.A. directing the new Lifehouse video last week. I have a confession about this. I had the location and didn’t put it up figuring no one would really care and then found out Kiefer was there! Sorry, I have learned a lesson and I won’t hold out again! Make sure you check out the link, there are more picture of Kiefer in action.
Police in North Andover, MA arrested two actors filming an armed robbery scene. Only after a local TV station was at the location reporting on the film did the cops let the actors go.
This site highlights various locations used in Shawshank Redemption. They had a reunion tour of the locations this past weekend for extras and other locals involved in the movie.
The Venice Film Festival is wrapping up, just in time for Brad and George to get to TIFF.
Like they don’t have enough problems in Louisiana right now, Andy Dick is filming (and may be moving to) the state.
Elisabeth Shue (who is making a comeback in Hamlet 2) is currently filming a new independent movie in Massachusetts.

Here are a few more pictures from the Taking Woodstock set in New Lebanon, NY. The map below shows exactly where the set is since most people have probably never heard of New Lebanon!

Route 20 is one of the last great 2 lane highways, like Route 66 only in Upstate NY. And New Lebanon’s location is especially appealing because it is just a few miles from the Berkshires. Route 20 and the Berkshires offer plenty to do, antique shops, modern ruins, restaurants, and outdoor activities. It really is an interesting, beautiful part of the country!
In our first Taking Woodstock post we explained what the set was (an old motel set back off of Route 20) and what was around it (nothing). This post includes more pictures of them filming a scene in which an actor (who we recognize and can not place so if you know who he is please leave a comment and let us know) gets into his car outside of the motel. They also filmed exterior shots of just the motel from the road.
There were also a few old cars waiting for their close up so I am assuming they were filming more scenes later on. We didn’t see Demetri but we have seen on a few other blogs and message boards that he has been there.

Taking Woodstock Photos
Saturday we were at the location of a new home being built courtesy of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Normally, we don’t cover reality shows but this was filming right in our backyard and it is kind of interesting to see that they really do tear down a house and build a new one in a week. The show surpirsed the Hill family in Geneva, NY last Monday (and yes Ty did really have that bullhorn and the family was really surprised). We heard they took multiple takes of the “surprise” though because one of the kids fell the first time out.
Local vendors chipped in to tear down the house on Wednesday and by the time we got there on Saturday the new house (and a boxing studio in the backyard) was up and being painted. What we didn’t realize was how much the community has to pitch in to get these homes completed. We knew that all of the services were donated but we couldn’t believe how much the neighbors were enduring for this to be completed. The road was totally torn up and blocked off. The houses next door and across from the Hill house had equipment, tents, and people all over their lawns. One house even had the port-a-potties hooked up to it, now that is neighborly! That weekend the city sponsored a fund raiser to help pay for what was still needed, at that point they needed laptops, a driveway, and a few other big ticket items. We thought ABC or Sears would be providing those things but in this case the town was paying for it. That is a lot to ask for one family.
While we were there, Michael Moloney and Didiayer Snyder were both filming segments for the show inside the house. That is the other insider tip we got, apparently Ty Pennington is there on the first day, on demolition day, and then takes off and doesn’t come back until they “move that bus” which in this case was Monday.
Below are a few pictures. You can see Michael and Didiayer and get a sense of the chaos caused by trying to build a house in one week! It was nice to see a community come together to help someone else. Everyone we talked to was excited to help and happy for the Hills which is really all that matters. Congratulations to the Hills!

Numbers is filming at 953 E. 3rd St and 948 E. 2nd St in Los Angeles.
Ugly Betty is filming on West 24th Street between 9th and 10th Avenue. (rumored, thanks George!) Important Note: I can not confirm this location and also heard that this is incorrect and they are in studio today. If anyone is in the vicinity of this location and can check it out, please leave a comment to let everyone know if you see anything, thanks!
Fringe is filming in the Bronx on Bedford Park Blvd from Jerome Avenue to Goulden Ave. They are also filming all along Goulden Ave. (Thanks to Jen!)
