As we mentioned yesterday, on Wednesday we were in Massachusetts and visited the sets of Ashecliffe and Paul Blart: Mall Cop. We didn’t see any filming taking place but it was still interesting to get a sneak peek at the sets both films!
Paul Blart: Mall Cop has been filming in the Burlington Mall in Burlington, MA. The movie is set during the Christmas season so even when they are not filming there are Christmas decorations up, it is quite strange looking in the middle of May, check it out:
Ashecliffe is filming in Medfield, MA at two primary locations. The first is an old office complex at 120 N Meadows Rd which has been converted into a movie studio. They are also filming on location at the Medfield State Hospital (which closed in 2003) at 45 Hospital Rd. The two sets are only a couple miles apart and are under tight security. Here the few pictures we were able to get of this top secret movie set!
UPDATE: Forgot to mention what a nice drive this is. To get there from the Mass Pike you will pass through Natick, it’s a beautiful area especially on a bright summer day!
