There will be an open casting call for extras for Hannah Montana this weekend in Nashville, TN. For all of you teens trying to convince your parents to bring you to this casting call, here is some information about what there is for them to do in Nashville.

Its official, Oliver Stone’s W will begin filming in Shreveport, LA next month.

More On Location News 3.25.08

Can you imagine Owen Wilson filming a scene in the cubicle next to you? For many at the Sun Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale that is exactly what is happening today as the newspaper’s offices are being used for Marley and Me. The paper is keeping a blog and video of the shoot on their website!

Last week we reported that George Clooney was premiering Leatherheads in his family’s hometown of Maysville, KY. Well, the big premiere was last night and as expected a huge crowd from not just surrounding towns, but also surrounding states, waited for a glimpse of Clooney and co-star Renee Zellweger. They posed and signed autographs with fans before heading into the town’s theater. Here is an article and interview with Clooney from the event!

Diablo Cody likens on location filming to summer camp.

Downtown L.A. residents are fed up with constant filming in their neighborhood.

Colorado is finding it hard to compete as a movie location against other incentive friendly states like New Mexico, Connecticut or Rhode Island.

Haverhill, MA is set to be one of the locations for This Side of the Truth. Filming in town will take place May 6-8.

The Viewpoint Inn located in Corbett, Oregon will be the location of a major motion picture sometime this spring. Could it be Twilight?

Thanks to one of our readers, Dalton, we have learned that Notorious will start filming at various locations throughout NYC, one of which will be the Virgin Megastore (Union Square) on 14th St this morning.

Two movies are filming in Memphis this week, Soul Men and The Open Road.

George Clooney Heads Home with His New Movie

George Clooney is premiering Leatherheads in his family’s hometown of Maysville, KY on Monday night. Listen to this podcast from NPR to learn more from the town’s mayor. This is exciting, not just for the Town of Maysville but for us too. We LOVE Kentucky!

There is more to do than you think. You can check out the birthplace of Abe Lincoln. Check out the nightlife in Louisville. Take a road trip through the Derby Region. All of these things are great, but if you do find yourself in the Bluegrass State, you absolutely can not miss Cave City! Cave City is arguably the best spot in the country for kitschy roadside attraction fun. And it is also home to Mammoth Cave (if you decide to go make sure you set aside at least half a day, we got so wrapped up in everything there is to do in town we totally missed the cave). Just three hours south of Maysville, it is a little known treasure, especially for you road trippers! Get Up and Go Now!
